Chapter 9

"Dongho ah!" Xander yelled, grabbing Dongho's hand just as the younger boy was about to get into the lift. "What's going on? Please, tell hyung, we'll help you..." Dongho stared at Xander, at the other hyungs coming up behind him, stared with fearful eyes, shaking his head and trying to shrug off the eldest's hand.

"Stop... Dongho, just stop it, okay?" Eli said, pushing to the front, shoving Kevin and Xander's restricting arms away. "Just accept it already!"

"He's not dead..." the maknae shook his head furiously, eyes moving from the expressions on each of the member's faces. Shock, worry, sadness, anger. "I talked to him! I taught him that piano song! All of you are just lying to me! You're just jealous!"

Eli looked as if he was going to explode with anger soon, "Soohyun hyung is dead, Dongho! Get that into your head!" he shouted harshly. "We all went to his funeral, we all saw his body in that coffin. For God's sake, you were in the hospital room with him when he died! If you hadn't sneaked out that night, he wouldn't be de--" Eli stopped short as he realised that he had gone too far.

Dongho blinked, once, twice, before his face hardened. "Liar! Kevin hyung..." he turned to the one who always agreed with him. "Kevin hyung... Told me... Soohyun hyung wasn't..."

"Kev, what did you tell him?" Kibum asked seriously, eyes fixed on the younger's paling face.

Kevin closed his eyes, shaking his head, his voice a soft whisper. "I didn't mean for him to take it that way..." he looked up at the maknae, "Dongho. I'm sorry. This is all my fault, okay? Don't blame anyone else... Let's... Let's go back in and talk things out, okay?" Dongho didn't say anything, just bit his lip and nodded. Kevin's face relaxed into a smile, beaming at the other members, as if saying See, everything's alright now.  Kiseop and Xander seemed relieved, Kibum had his stone face on and Eli just looked really pissed off.

Kevin gently pushed Dongho back towards the door, as if nothing had happened. And, at the last minute, Dongho suddenly broke free and ran down the staircase, further and further away.

"You should have had a tighter grip on him!" Eli frowned, giving Kevin a this-is-all-your-fault Look. He got no reply, but Kibum gave him a death glare, making him shut up.

"I'm sorry..." Kevin couldn't meet anyone's eyes, not even Kibum.

"It's okay, Kev. Its not your fault..." Kibum soothed, rubbing his back gently as the younger boy started to sniffle. He shot another glare at Eli. He swore, if murder wasn't against the law, he would have probably done something involving shortening Eli's lifespan in the worst way possible already.

Xander and Kiseop had gone to look for Dongho, Eli was going to change before doing so, while Kibum (of course) decided to stay back at the dorm with Kevin. Kiseop and Eli had explained what had been in Dongho's notebook, and they had agreed that they should find Dongho as soon as possible in case he did something stupid to himself.

After an hour.

"We've been EVERYWHERE." Xander reported as he stepped back into the dorm. "All the possible places he might go. The arcade, the school, the park, the ice-cream shop, the amusement park..."

"Does he answer your calls?" Kibum suggested.

"Won't pick up." Kiseop sighed. "Kevin, what about you try calling him? He might answer..."

Kevin, who had been sitting on the sofa, his face blank and emotionless since they had gotten in, jumped slightly, realising someone was talking to him. "I've tried already, no answer."

Eli exhaled a deep breath, leaning back against the wall. "Damn, where could he have gone... He didn't have anything except that stupid book with him when he ran away, how far could he go?"

"I've been thinking..." Kevin started meekly, looking at Xander, who nodded at him to continue. "Could he have gone somewhere that Soohyun hyung had taken him to?"

"We've tried everywhere," Xander repeated impatiently. 

"Where was their first date? Does anyone remember?" Kibum asked, the lines of worry on his forehead deepening.

Suddenly, Kevin stood up, grabbing his phone and running out the door, "I know where he is!"

Dongho sat cross-legged on the warm sand with his notebook spread out in front of him, rays of orangey-red sunlight bathing his face, slowly drying his tears. He remembered the first time he had been here with Soohyun, he remembered their conversation that led to the start of their relationship.

"Hyung, I love you."

"I love you too..."

Eli was right, Soohyun was dead. He was dead, but they would soon be together.

Smiling peacefully, his eyes fluttering shut, Dongho lifted the penknife to his wrist, tracing the skin with its sharp tip, light reflecting off the shiny silver blade and onto his face.

"Wait for me, Soohyun hyung..."

With those whispered words, he slashed the knife down once more, as the first drops of blood splattered the pages of the notebook before him...

Sorry for this very fail chapter, and my very fail storyline that went too fast. i think the pairing was more of dongvin than kemaru...I apologize! *bows deeply* and Elisoniacs!I'm so sorry for making Eli so evil and heartless! *bows again*

The next chapter will probably be the last for this fic, and after that will be the epilogue.
