Chapter 23: Rather Be Dead

Hye-Ri's POV:

"Take her away Mr.Kang." Hye-Ri's father instructs. "Make sure she doesn't try anything funny too okay?" Mr.Kang nods as he goes over to Hye-Ri forcefully putting both of her hands behind her back. "Just do what I say." Mr.Kang whispers barely audible to anyone but her. "Trust me." Hye-Ri knows better then to trust a dirty scumbag like him.  "Don't tell me what to do and who to trust." she snarls angrily. Mr.Kang just gives her a look, "Trust me." he whispers again as he starts to lead her into the other room. 

BANG BANG BANG!

Shots fire and Hye-Ri drops to the ground. "Everyone down!" a voice yells as thundering feet enter the room. "I said everyone down!" Hye-Ri looks up to see the FBI surrounding her father and his crew. Could this be my chance at freedom? Hye-Ri couldn't help but get a little excited. That is until her father started to speak, she knew that whatever her father wanted he got. "Now, gentlemen." her father says smiling. "What seems to be the issue here?" "We have reason to believe that you are operating a scam involving this casino. We'll have to take you up for questioning." the one police officer said. "Not without talking to my lawyer first." my father responded. "Sorry sir, but we'll have to take you in regardless. You can get a lawyer when we reach the station. Now put your hands up and follow us quietly out. 

Her father sighs, and Hye-Ri knows what that means. Trouble. "Watch out!" Hye-Ri yells, as her father whips out his gun and fires the first shot, straight at the officer hitting him square in the chest.
