The hustle bustle of Seoul never failed to amuse an 18 year old Oh Sehun. The city lights were twinkling and the side walks were never empty of pedestrians. Today was raining and Sehun had never liked it cold. He had always preferred the warm and sunny day where the sun shines just as bright eventhough He knows, warm and bright had never matched his cold personality.
As the rain got heavier and the pavements were beginning to form small puddles, Sehun tightens his school coat that clings to his thin body almost perfectly. The pit-a-pat of the rain drops as it hits against his black umbrella somehow brings Sehun a little closer to peacefulness and Sehun hums himself a little summer tune.
A little after he passed the little flower shop in the corner of the street, Sehun could see a figure of a person sitting hunched at the side of the street only roofed by a thin cardboard box that failed to shelter him from rain. A beggar, was the first thing that came to his mind upon seeing this boy.
An 18 year old Sehun would usually walk past beggars, ignoring them, be it an old lady or a young 7 year old. An 18 year old Sehun would always have his head tilted high in pride, his eyes are never spared for the poor.
But there was something about this boy. This lonesome boy that happens to capture Oh Sehun’s attention. The cardboard box made no avail on keeping him dry, but the boy was persistent, he keeps his hold on the cardboard box above his head and Sehun couldn’t help but grip the handle of his umbrella that keeps him dry, away from the drips of rain.
Something about this boy made Sehun drew closer to him and he reached out his black umbrella, shielding his and the boy’s head from the rain. The boy looked up in confusion when he felt no more drips of rain tapping against his skin on him and was met by the handsome face of Sehun.
Sehun was captured by his eyes, mesmerized. He had sharp dark eyes that were wide and guarded and Sehun finds himself lost in the black irises that seemed to scream in desperation. But the boy’s face was as still as water, his features strong yet delicate, Sehun lets his eyes travel to the curve of the boy’s lips. His cheek bones were prominent, Sehun doubts he even eats properly, afterall he is homeless.
He did seem quite surprised though when his eyes roam around the boy’s body, realizing the almost translucent body. His arms, his legs, his everything was almost see-trough as Sehun observes him from head to toe and he couldn’t help but feel a sudden shot of familiarity hitting him like waves. And Sehun wonders to himself if he’s ever met this boy. But being the naive Oh Sehun he is, he completely shrugged the feeling off.
“Hello, my name is Oh Sehun.” He introduced softly, a casual smile playing on his lips. Sehun reached out his hand to the boy, but instead of taking it, the boy kept his hand to himself and Sehun retreats his hand back to his side in embarrassment when the boy only stared at his hand. So Sehun crouched down until he is as eye level as him. The boy was silent, his gaze seems lost and disoriented, before he opened his mouth and whispers out in an almost hesitant tone, his eyes staring back up at Sehun’s.
“Hello, I’m Kim Jongin.”
