After a week I receive the present, today is the first day I will touch the box again. I guess alone in my mind “This box is light mmm… maybe there is a novel inside.” I tear the wrapper carefully and seem like not very excited with it because when I look the wrapper, the colour is dull. I open up the box slowly and I see something white in colour.

            “What is it?” I burble. “Ha? Winter coat??? Wah! Seem like the organiser know I like this colour – Pink.” I feel very excited not like before. I will wear it for this afternoon outing. That will be my first outing without Jae Jin oppa or my parents. “Huh… will it be an interesting outing for me?” I give out a long sigh.

            Today, Jae Jin will not accompany me because I have a meeting with my classmates, all of them are girl. I study in a high school in the town while Jae Jin studies in a boy high school near to my school. I walk to the park near my house and waiting for them. I make a call “Hello, Eun Hi! Where are you now? That has been 30 minutes I wait for all of you. Come here now!” I say without stop for taking breath. “Oh ya…”

            Five minutes later, they startle me from behind “Hey! Min Jo. Are you daydreaming?” I just keep quiet, pretending in sulk. “Wah! Your coat is so beautiful today.” Eun Hi praises my winter coat. “Yes it is very suitable for you but not for Eun Hi.” Seo Jin says to me and teases Eun Hi. “Thanks.” I smirk. “Let’s go to the shopping mall now.” Seo Jin says delightful. “What???” says me surprise. “She doesn’t tell you.” Seo Jin shows her index finger to Eun Hi. “No.” I take a simple best answer while shaking my head. “No. I just want make her a surprise. All this time she keeps going for outing with her cousin.”

            “Okay. This is my first and last time.” I say doubtfully. We reach the shopping mall. I follow them at the back. At a moment, they feel thirsty and ask me to buy some drinks for them. “Min Jo-ah, can you buy some drinks for us? Here the money.” I nod. I go there myself and I see they still sit on the long bench. I turn at back. “What? They are missing. How could they leave me alone here? What can I do now? Call for Jae Jin and ask him to fetch me? No, I can’t. He is having an outing with his friends now.” All the questions appear in my mind.

            I rush to the toilet. “Maybe they are in the toilet because Eun Hi like to make up her face.” I think myself. “This is my own fault – why I can’t be an independent girl. I always depend on Jae Jin.” I start to cry in front of the toilet’s mirror. I get out from the toilet and run to a shop in front, hoping I will meet someone that I know. While I am walking there, I feel a warm hand on my shoulder. I turn back, sobbing. “Min Jo-ah. What are you doing here alone?” Gratefully. “Jae Jin oppa.” I say and without thinking anymore I hug him.

            “Min Jo. Please tell me now. What happen?” Jae Jin asks me while wipes my tears gently using a soft tissue. “I go for an outing with my friend and they ask me to buy some drinks but when I turn back they’ve gone. Leave me alone there.” I explain to him. “You mean Eun Hi and Seo Jin?” He asks me back. “Yes. They are.” I nod. “Let me teach them.” Jae Jin looks angry at this moment. “Oppa! Don’t. There’s no need.” I say in low tone. “Okay. I’m proud because I’ve a cousin that has a high patient level.”

            But at this time I feel awkward a bit - someone glare at me. “Oh! Min Jo. These are all my friends. These are Jong Hoon and Min Hwan.” He introduces the guys who are standing by his left side. “Hi! Nice to meet you.” I say and then bow just to be polite. “And this is Lee Hong Ki, my best friend.” Jae Jin says again. I look his face “Oh my God! He… I know these eyes. He is the one who bumped me before.” I am whispering alone in my heart. “Hi! Nice to meet you.” I bow again. He turns his face by the other side.

            “Guys! She is Kim Min Jo, my lovely cousin. She lives next to my house.” He says again, smile. “Mmm…” The sound appears from Hong Ki’s mouth. “Hong Ki, why are you looking so worry?” Min Hwan asks him. I just ignore them. “Such embarrassment, I’m crying in front of them.” This feeling keeps playing in my heart. “Oh! My mother makes a call just now. She said my grandparents come to my house. I’ve to go back now. Goodbye.” He waves his hand and leaves us.

            “Min Hwan, let’s go back too. I would be scolded by mum because I come late.” Jong Hoon says with his serious face expression. “Okay. Bye Jae Jin, Min Jo.” They walk out of the mall. Jae Jin and I go out together. Min Hwan and Jong Hoon are cousin, both father are sibling. They come from Choi family. We get in a train, so we will not late.

            “Oppa, can I ask something?” I ask him, hesitantly. “Sure, what is it?” He replies me as usually with his smile. “I want know all about Hong Ki.” I say again. “Oh, he is a nice person although he comes from a rich family, he don’t talk too much like me, someone who never know him usually will say he is a cocky but in fact he is not like that, he is never talk with girl except his mum, younger sister and our teachers and the most important he is an intelligent boy.” Jae Jin says calm.

            “Oh like that.” I say and nod as an understand symbol. “Why you want know all about him? Are you like him?” Jae Jin teases me. “No!!!” I shake my head rapidly. We are in front of my house. “Min Jo goes inside now and don’t forget this 17 November.” He chuckles. “What???” I say. “Ish… It is my birthday party.” He looks angry at me. “Oh I remember it now.” I say and run inside the gate. “After I tell you right.” Jae Jin replies.
