“Hey, Luhan guess what Kyuhyun got for me?” Donghae asked excitedly munching on his blueberry pancakes

“A diamond ring”

Donghae snorted “Yeah right; that isn’t that classy- he got me this” he pulled out this massive- and I mean massive Nemo plush toy

“You kept that under the table?”

“Well- not really I just stuffed it under there while I ate”

“When will you finally go out?” Luhan asked eying the older boy suspiciously

“No idea” Donghae answered truthfully- he pouted a little “Soon I hope”

“I feel sorry for the guy”

“Me too” Yesung said looking up from the magazine he was reading

“Shut up guys”

Luhan put his plate by the sink and reached for his shoes “Gotta go- can’t miss the bus again”

“Oh yeah about that- Joonmyun’s kid Sehun rung up… God knows how he got our number; he said you had a project to work on before school so he’s picking you up”

“Say what?”

“Oh Luhan don’t tell me you forgot about the project oh Jesus- It’s okay, I did it all the time you don’t have to freak out”

“There was no project”

“Excuses don’t make a difference Lulu remember that!”

“THERE WAS NO PROJECT!”

“Sure thing Lulu!”

Luhan was about to retort when he heard the door-bell ring, he stormed out of the room to get it

“Hello” Luhan mumbled when he saw the beautiful being who was on the other side of the door

“Hey” Sehun grinned “Ready?”

“Yeah” Luhan sighed grabbing his school bag

“Where are you taking me?” Luhan asked

“We’re ditching school today” Sehun said happily speeding along the highway

“WAIT? WHAT?”

“Don’t worry calm down- I checked off as sick”

“First you tell my cousin we’re working on a project- secondly you told the school I was sick, what’s next?”

“Next I call your cousin again to say you’re staying with me for the night”

 “What”

“You’re my friend right?”

“Yeah but this is like kidnapping you realise” Luhan pouted staring outside “Plus how am I going to survive the whole fricken night with your family huh?”

“Don’t worry we’re on the way to my house now- I’m just introducing you to Suho and Lay that’s it”

“You mean your parents”

“Yeah- my parents” Sehun mumbled quietly

“Why don’t you call them mom and dad? Or dad and dad?”

“Well- we are adopted” Sehun said “They didn’t really hide it from us- because well obviously” but then he grinned a little “I do enjoy calling Lay mom sometimes though”

“Why do I need to meet your parents again?”

“Just because” Sehun said vaguely

“Well that’s silly” Luhan frowned

“It’s just something I have to do- a precaution perhaps you could call it”

“For what? Just in case we die, we’re we sleeping if we’re not at your house, why isn’t your dad at work?”

“He’s on call- and I have an apartment in the city- we all do, I just use mine more than the rest or well I guess they do use them when Suho kicks them out for being noisy”

“Oh”

“That’s a quiet reaction” Sehun smirked “Did I ruin your innocence or something?”

“I know what is idiot”

“I’m sincerely surprised”

“Thanks”

They pulled into a house way out in the suburbs almost on the edge of the city it was big and it stood alone and towered over the other houses in the area

Luhan stared in awe

“Big house”

“Thanks”

 “I guess you have to house eleven people to house” Luhan grimaced “And eleven people to feed oh god I wouldn’t want to do the dishes at your house, no thank you”

Sehun had an expression between amused and concerned

“Dishes aren’t a problem” Sehun frowned as if he gave too much away “We have a cleaner”

“Lucky for some” Luhan rolled his eyes

“Perks of having a neurosurgeon for a father” Sehun shrugs

“A neurosurgeon?”

“Well technically- wait no never mind”

“Okay...”

“It’s complicated” Sehun appeared on the other side of the car- opening the door for Luhan

Luhan walked into the godly mansion into the foyer there were various maids and cleaners round, only one cook which was strange because you’d think for eleven people… Luhan just let the thought drift away and concentrated on the long hallway full of family photos- no childhood photographs though- it was strange these photos were professionally done and there were even hand painted pictured and portraits

“Why so many pictures and these are they graduation caps?” Luhan pointed at the giant canvas decorated with graduation caps in various colours

“No idea- and that- Suho just bought all these old caps and did something creative with it”

“Ah Sehun you’re home” A soft voice called out

“Hey Yixing- yeah decided to pop round”

“We’ve missed you” Yixing pulled Sehun into a bone crushing hug

“Yeah, yeah I’ll be home tomorrow for the night”

“Where will you be tonight?” Lay blinked innocently

“I’ll be at the apartment with my friend Luhan”

Lay looked over at Luhan curiously- Luhan noticed that he too had eyes that changed colour

“Hello I’m Sehun’s parent” Lay smiled brilliantly at Luhan “It’s the first time any of my children have brought anyone home like this it’s a pleasure to meet you!”

“Mom- don’t creep him out” Sehun whined then looked at Luhan “Are you hungry or thirsty?”

“Umm…?” Luhan said

“I’ll go get some food” Lay said smiling “Nice to meet you Luhan”

“Nice to meet you too!” Luhan shouted awkwardly after Sehun’s ‘mom’ then he turned to Sehun “You have a nice mom”

“Yeah whatever- you still have to meet Suho” Sehun began dragging Luhan up the many flights of stairs

“Suho!” Sehun called out opening to door to find Suho sitting over his computer

“Ah hello”

Suho suddenly switched to a different language- Luhan couldn’t understand any of it, it was European that’s as far as he got

“Hello Luhan- sorry I was being terribly rude” Suho chuckled “My name is Suho- wait are you Donghae’s cousin?”

“Erm yes”

“Oh he kept talking about you! He’s lovely your cousin couldn’t ask for a better secretary anyway it’s lovely to meet you; you’ll be with Sehun tonight? Correct?”

“Yeah I think so” Luhan smiled

“Well have a really good time, the hospital is calling me so be good kids”

“Kids” Sehun scoffed

“He’s so young to have so many teenagers roaming round” Luhan murmured

“He’s older than you think”
