A thousand years
"How was your first day of school?" Donghae asked when Luhan crashed into the apartment frazzled and drenched in rain
"Does it always rain here?"
"No... Well a bit but not heaps, the smog kinda covers the sun so it's not very intense"
"Oh"
"Mmm, so how was school?"
"Alright- I met Dr Kim's children"
"They talked to you?"
"No of course not"
"One of them ran away from me though" he pouted
"Oh Luhannie it's okay- who was it?"
"Hazelnut or actually kind of chestnut hair piercing eyes, tall"
"I think that may of been Sehun, he's come in to see his father a bit around the hospital"
"What are you doing at the hospital?"
"I have a part time job there as a secretary!"
"A secretary?"
"Shut up- it was the only job available, so that's how I know those kids by name, Kris, Tao, Xiumin, Chen, Kai, Kyungsoo, Baekhyun, Chanyeol and Sehun"
"Congrats"
"I know right! I think they like me!"
"Lucky for some"
"Yeah.. Uh anyway it's just us eating so I got take out"
"Sure"
They ate in comfortable silence occasionally saying something random
"Are you done?" Luhan asked as he grabbed Donghae's plate and began the dishes
"You decided for me" he joked "I'm just going upstairs for a bit okay?"
"You're on dishes tomorrow"
"Gotcha"
Luhan turned some music on before beginning the dishes he began singing along when there was a knock at the door
"Coming!"
He pulled the door open to find a tall boy at the door
"Hello?"
"Hello, who are you?"
"Um who are you?"
"I asked first"
Luhan rolled his eyes "I'm Luhan- Donghae's cousin"
"Ah pleasure to meet you Luhan"
"You too... Who are you?"
The boy smiled politely "Kyuhyun- I'm a medicine student at Seoul University"
"Donghae said you were a violinist"
"Just a hobby- you can't make money out of a violin- unless you're a prodigy"
"He made you sound like a prodigy"
He laughed at that one "oh dear"
"I'll just go get Donghae for you- come in"

The next morning Luhan regretted letting Kyuhyun inside, he didn't get any sleep, the couple were gone when Luhan came down for breakfast
Donghae left the gas on
What did that guy do without him
Yesung was here- fast asleep on the sofa
Quickly glancing at the clock realising he was late Luhan quickly downed a muesli bar and ran out the door
He was just across the road from the bus stop, not thinking he ran when a silver care slammed on the breaks just in time
Bewildered Luhan looked at the driver shocked to see Sehun staring at him his eyes were gold today his gaze was less hard today, softer, eyes filled with curiosity rather than seething hate
Luhan ran off to the bus stop after that, to afraid to look back
He was in one of Sehun's classes- last period English
The rest of the Kim family were scattered round his classes
Kris and Chanyeol in his science
Chen and Tao in maths
Baekhyun and Kyungsoo in his music
He had no classes with Xiumin or Kai
School went by slowly, he was grateful for the lunch bell when it rang
He plopped down on his table and scooped a spoonful of rice up into his mouth when he saw another tray slam right infront of him
Slowly he looked up to see Sehun smiling at him
Oh Sehun was smiling at him
"Hello" he said, his voice was otherworldly "I'm Sehun, sorry I haven't introduced myself yet"
I wasn't expecting you to introduce yourself at all
"Oh, hi" Luhan mumbled "I'm Luhan"
"I know"
He continued eating his lunch when he saw Sehun had barely touched his food
"You're not hungry?"
"Um... I don't know"
Luhan looked at Sehun strangely for a moment but relaxed when Sehun took a bite of chicken on his plate
"So when did you move here?" Luhan asked from what he knew the family wasn't old to the city
"Around two years ago- I went to middle school here"
"Oh, that's nice"
"So you're family date each other?" Luhan joked
Sehun grimaced "unfortunately, we don't really fit in with the people here, hence this happened"
"Do your eyes change colour?" Luhan asked this seemed to shock Sehun his eyes turned a shade of blue although they still had gold undertones
"Err yeah- something in the lights just change them"
"Strange"
"Yeah, kinda" Sehun scratched the back of his head
Luhan was about to ask another question when the bell rang, Sehun got up hastily said goodbye before he went over to his family
Baekhyun the short one with brown eyes gazed at me intently still like he didn't even know what he was doing
The tall one with coffee coloured hair led him away
Sehun had already gone, guess Luhan would just see him in class
Turns out he had to share a table with the intimidating Sehun for English
The thought made Luhan squirm in both fright but also in a way he couldn't even describe
What was that feeling?
English was a disappointment to say the least, Sehun didn't say a word to him the whole time
He was bipolar, was it possible to be friends with Oh Sehun?
Luhan sighed as he gathered up his bags and headed to the music rooms after school he needed to practice
Slowly he started warming up his voice, soft lyrical sounds coming from his lips as he got out his lyric book, filled with the lyrics of his favourite songs- even some he'd written himself
This time though he chose to sing State of Grace by Taylor Swift- Luhan didn't really know what the lyrics meant
I'm walking fast through the traffic lights

He continued through a line up of songs until he was exhausted reaching for his water bottle he packed his bag and left the building
He got a quick glance of Baekhyun singing to Chanyeol on the piano
Luhan wondered whether the others were musically talented
They had to be
Sighing he walked to the gate, he didn't notice a figure stalking him as he walked home- he'd missed the bus and not realised there wouldn't be another one, he began the half hour walk home.
Suddenly a car pulled up at the sidewalk with Sehun at the drivers seat
"Get in" he sighed Luhan just looked at him like he was crazy "what?"
"You're crazy" Luhan huffed as he got inside feeling inferior in such a flash car he didn't know the name of
"I didn't want a remake of this morning" he flashed a mocking smile
"I was in a rush"
"Mmm"
"So your family don't travel to school together?"
"No, well some of do- I don't"
"Because your anti social?"
"You would say that"
"You didn't talk to me in English"
"And?"
"You're talking to me now- I don't get it"
"I can't be friends with you okay?"
Well that stung more than it should have
"Well why are you dropping me home?"
"I can still be concerned for your safety"
"You're impossible"
He glared back at Luhan "we can't, doesn't mean I don't want to"
"I don't care, let me out"
"Not until you're home"
"I don't even know the way home from school on foot" Luhan sighed exasperated
"Precisely, you need to get home safely"
"How do I know you will take me home safely"
"You don't"
He pulled up to Luhan's apartment block
"You're cousin works for my father, I easily got hold of your address" Sehun handed a map to Luhan "So you don't get lost" he smirked
Luhan snatched it and slammed the door shut
He was bipolar
Yeah that had to be it
That guy has mental issues
But that doesn't stop me from being obsessed, infatuated
Oh god help me
