Chapter 8

I looked up at the beautiful sight in front of me, I was at the balcony outside my room enjoying the fresh air that blowing around me. The scenery was just perfect, my eyes turned into the beautiful light blue sea. I couldn’t wait to swim. Noticing somebody’s presence I turned around, there he was Baekhyun-hyung looking perfect as usual. I gave him a small smile, as I waved my hand asking him to come near me.

When he stood up right next to me, I turned to him and he gave me an beautiful eye smile making my heart beating in fast pace.

“What are you doing here all alone Kai? Everybody are downstairs digging their lunch made by our eomma.” I chuckled lightly looking at Baekhyun-hyung’s confused face. I knew why he was confused, I usually couldn’t say no to foods. I usually the first person ever that would be in the kitchen when I smelled the scent of foods.

“I just want to go downstairs hyung, but the scenery is just relaxing don’t you think? It feels like by watching it, you just feel relax and your burdens just being lift off your shoulders. I feel like I’m not Kai for a minutes, just Jongin…Kim Jongin…” I looked up again, feeling the breeze.

“You always be Kim Jongin to me.” I turned my head to him, raising my eyebrow. “What do you mean?”

Baekhyun-hyung smiled slightly, “No matter what, you always be Jongin. The dongsaeng that I really care about.” I turned silence by that, didn’t know if I should feel happy that he cared about me or slightly disappointed because he said that I’m just his dongsaeng.

“What’s wrong?”                

“Ani, sometimes I hope you think of me more than a dongsaeng hyung…” I accidently slipped that out, I turned silence. He stared at me with wide eyes.

“What are you implying…?” God, I’m so messed up.

“Nothing, forget it hyung. Let’s go downstairs.” I walked away from him but suddenly his hand caught my wrist.

“Kim Jongin, I wanna hear the truth.” He stated, looked right into my eyes. I gulped. Is this really the times to confess?

“I-I….” I shuttered nervously.

“Hmm?” He hummed, asking me to go on.

“I- I like you more than a hyung.”

“….” I looked down, silence filled the air. I started to regret that I managed to slip that words out.

“Jongin, look at me.” I shook my head, biting my lips keep looking down at the floor. I didn’t want to meet his gaze, I was so scared that he would reject me.

“Jongin…” I looked up slowly, my cheeks turned red. His eyes showed…Was that love? I didn’t know, I wasn’t sure.  

“Hyung…”

“Do you want to hear something?” He smiled cheekily. I opened my mouth and closed it again, ended up nodding my head.

“I like you….” My breath caught in the moment he said that. “More than a dongsaeng.”

I stared at him with wide eyes, blinking making sure if he really said that.
