Lay’s P.O.V

I saw a pile of photo albums so I get one and opened it…



“Is this Hyon-mee?” I asked

“Yeah… she was 4 years old that day… Where she can finally talk and smile at us”

“oh… She took a long time to talk you?”

“Yes… and that day was our most cherished day for us family” as I clearly saw the joy in her Mom’s eyes

I flipped the book and I saw Hyon-mee’s pictures smiling brightly and happily

I was shocked and saw an album full of hearts and stuff like The guy for me so I opened it and saw pictures

“Who is this guy?” I asked

“Oh Hyon-mee’s first ever boyfriend… The one she loved most”

“Where is he now?” I asked again

“He left Hyon-mee… The reason why Hyon-mee became like this… The reason why her smile is only limited and can’t even love again”

and my memories flashed back… I remembered  every word she said when I confronted her… When tears came dripping from her eyes and ran away …

“I remember when Hyon-mee always cry at the middle of the night because that Guy visited her again in her dreams… I remember the pain she felt and the only solution she can make is commit suicide… I remember that day when she became mute again and didn’t talk to anyone else… I remember the day when I wished that the pain she was feeling that day can be pass to me so she wouldn’t be in pain anymore” her mom said as pain is now I am feelin' too

I bit my lips “She really gone through a lot and she never told us about it”
 

“Seeing her trust again to people makes me so happy… Can you be her best friend forever and make her smile all day…?” Her mom asked

“ I promise… I’ll be her best friend even if the whole world walks away from her… I’ll make her smile and make her believe that fantasies do exist” as I smiled to her mom making a promise that I know I will never regret I’ve made

I putted back the photo album and just on time Hyon-mee came back

“Here is the spaghetti sauce” She smiled announcing the good news she have

Her mom and I is just looking at her

“what ???” she asked as she smiled again

“Nothing… Now give me that sauce” Her mom cut the awkward atmosphere as she get the sauce from Hyon-mee

Hyon-mee sat beside me

“What did you and mom talked about??” She asked innocently

*If I can just reset and rewind time … I wish I was there comforting you… for you not to feel alone* I thought as I kept on looking at her

“Yah! Lay I asked you what did you and mom talked about??” As she snaps me out of it

“You know…How she manages this house clean”

“Is that all?” She asked again

“Yeah..”

“Oh didn’t you found it boring?”

“No… it was really worth my time” I replied

“I’m glad you and mom get along” She said and she finally eyed me

Hyon-mee’s P.O.V

“Mom do you need some help??” I asked
“No baby… just prepare the table for us to eat”

“Lets eat outside” I suggested

“Sure… Just prepare things outside and make some fresh orange juice”

“Yeah mom”

Lay and I went outside and prepared things as I make some orange juice Lay is the one who put the plates , glass and etc

Mom came outside bringing the spaghetti

We eat and chat along

“Hey Lay did you know that Hyon-mee eats a lot?? And when she was a kid she was this fat??”

“Yah mom… I was slim when I was a kid… I was already y”

“EWE! y your face…!”

“Mom your rude..”

“Aniya… it was just a joke… your brother told me to tell you that if your being conceited again”

“Really Yuhan oppa told you that??”

Lay laughed so much

“why are you laughing?” I asked

“oh… This family is so funny” He answered

“funny enough to make me a laughing stock” I replied

Lay suddenly stopped from laughing

as we all laugh … we chatted as my mom reveal all secrets at the house… making Lay and I laugh so hard until our stomach aches
