Daehyun's visit lately turned into him accompanying Youngjae to go through a series of tests and therapy sessions. He found out from the nurses that because of him, Youngjae was strongly against doing therapy sessions and checkups while Daehyun was visiting. He was afraid of Daehyun knowing and his reaction, so he went through it when Daehyun was busy and at nights. So that's why he never saw Youngjae went through his sickness and always thought Youngjae was healthy enough...

He glanced at Youngjae, who was going through the CT scan, through the glass. Nothing will go wrong, Youngjae's been fighting and he's strong. but for the past month his symptoms were coming frequently. His nose bled for the fourth time this week, he coughed blood for the second time earlier today, and his face was getting paler day by day. The doctors had told him to stay in the room and restricted his outing to another place. Youngjae smiled when the doctors told him that, but he knew better. He can't watch it no more, so excused himself and went out from the control room.

He leaned on the wall beside the door and sighed heavily. He knew that it's inevitable and it's the reality that he has to cope up with, but lately he kept dreaming and thinking about the day Youngjae will... Shaking his head he cleared his head off the thoughts. Youngjae's still fighting and so will he. Untill the end. But what if...

A hand moved in front of his face and he blinked in surprise. He adjusted his vision until the view of Youngjae's face was seen. He smiled at the blonde right away.

"How was it?"

Youngjae gave him a thumb up.

"Feeling good now?"

He nodded and grinned. Then he motioned his hands up and down, like he was struming something. Daehyun caught up right away.

"It's in your room, let's get back now then?"

Another nod and a walk later they were inside Youngjae's room with Daehyun fumbling with a big bag he brought earlier that morning. Then he let out the guitar from it and sat by Youngjae's bed. The latter was grinning widely from ear to ear with his sketchbook on his arms.

"Ready?"

Youngjae nodded excitedly and ushered him to play, he had been nagging (more like writing terror messages) to Daehyun ever since Jongup told him that his hyung annoyed the hell out of him every time he play his guitar. Daehyun then sit on the chair and play a couple of chords.

"So what should I play?"

Anything!!!!!!!! Show me!!!!!!!!

Laughing in amusement he started a few chords and the melody filled the room. Youngjae noticed right away that it's the melody to John Legend's Ordinary People; both of them were a fan to the world's famous musician. And when Daehyun sang the first verse Youngjae felt butterflies erupt inside his stomach, making him feel giddy for some reasons. He bit his lower lip to hold the grin from getting too wide. Daehyun continued it to the reff and Youngjae mouthed along to the lyric, it's as if they're singing together. Then the melody stopped and the magic was over. Writing in a haze Youngjae practically shoved the sketchbook to Daehyun's face.

"No, I don't think I can..."

Nonsense! Make one! It's a lifetime wish from me!!! Make it please? Please? With cherry tomatoes on top?

"I don't know how to, Jae!"

You can! Come on Dae I know you can!

Once Youngjae set his mind in something he'll do it till the end. And Daehyun knew better than to piss Youngjae off again. So with a defeated sigh he complied.

"What should I write about then?"

I don't know... Your family? Err the garden? Children's ward?

"Not likely..."

Fine, write something about me. Sing it at the hospital's gala dinner! Please?

"NO."

It's seven weeks away, still plenty of time! For me? Please?

"...... Fine. I better get a good peek of your sketchbook. You owe me that."

Deal! I can't wait to hear it!!! What will you write about me?

"Secret."

Youngjae pouted in a joking manner which Daehyun replied with pinching the younger's cheek. Then Youngjae lied down and soon dozed off to sleep, Daehyun held his hand and rubbed his thumb accross Youngjae's knuckles. It was so thin now, the bones were more prominent and the skin looked so pale... When he pinched Youngjae's cheeks, he felt how the cheeks became hollower, albeit a bit. Blinking back the tears he took a deep breath and kissed Youngjae's hand.

That's the first time he gave up to the reality that Youngjae's time is limited and he'll have to let him go sooner or later, even if he didn't want to.
