Youngjae said he loves to hear Daehyun's voice when he sings. The first time he did it was when he thought Youngjae was sleeping and he hummed to a couple of random songs, and the humming turned into a soft singing at the fourth time. He began to sing more when Youngjae seemed to be asleep more than usual and to shoo away his boredom he sang in normal voice with his headphones on. Out of nowhere he felt a sketchbook shoved in front of his face and he read it in reflex.

Seriously I can't even take it anymore!! Why did you hide such a voice? If I were you I'll sing every time I can! As loud as I can! I don't give a damn to people if they're looking, I'll sing as much as I want. And you!! You can do why did you NOT do it? You’re one big fool! Idiot!

Daehyun stared at the pissed off man on the bed and muttered an "I'm sorry" while scratching his neck. Youngjae obviously heard the wrong answer because he shoved the sketchbook again.

Why did you say sorry? For God's sake just stop being so uptight ok?

"Err.. Ok?"

Then sing more. If not for everyone then sing for me. Every time you can come. Promise?

Daehyun knew that Youngjae liked his voice just because he can't do it in his own, or at least that was what he thought. But well, anything to make Youngjae happy, he'll do it in a heartbeat. So he nodded at Youngjae, kissed him for the third time that day, and ushered him to sleep while humming a lullaby.

And when Daehyun volunteered to sing in the charity program held at the children ward (by Youngjae's request of course) because the nurse that supposed to sing caught a bad flu and they need to get a replacement on the last minute, he was there, clapping the loudest, and of course smiling the widest. After the mini-showcase was over Youngjae showed him his sketchbook, obviously written in excitement because the letters were a bit rushed than usual.

That's my Dae! I swear I'm gonna be your biggest fan if you're becoming a singer LOL

Daehyun chuckled and kissed Youngjae's nose, the blush that covered Youngjae's face was forever adorable.

"Silly Jae."

The nurses were more than satisfied by his performance and planning to have him volunteer again at the hospital's annual gala dinner to celebrate their anniversary. Before Daehyun can answer Youngjae beated him to do it and said yes in behalf. Of course he protested at first but Youngjae promised him that if he performs he'll show Daehyun his sketchbook. The sketchbook was Youngjae's most prized possession and he didn't even let Daehyun to take a peek. The only page Daehyun can see was the page Youngjae used to communicate with him.

"Promise?"

Youngjae gave him two tumbs up and a shove. Daehyun rolled his eyes when Youngjae didn't see and accepted the nurse's offer. It paid well by the way, much to Daehyun's joy. Enough to buy Youngjae a new sketchbook he saw on the bookstore a few days ago. It was a decent one, made of hard brown paper and he knew Youngjae would love it.

A poke woke him up from his train of thoughts and a sketchbook was put on his hands.

Let's go to the garden?

Daehyun smiled and took Youngjae's hand out from the children's ward to the garden, which’s not that far. Youngjae swayed his hand with Daehyun and grinned the whole way, even skipping at the steps.

"You're too happy go lucky for your own good mister."

Youngjae mehrong-ed him and grinned even wider. Daehyun can only chuckle and shook his head. They played on the garden, helping the gardener to plant new flowers, and just play catch-me-if-you-can like two kids they were.

It was one of the happiest day in Daehyun's life, whether he dare to admit it or not. Youngjae's been a big part of his life, a crucial one, in such a short time. It fears him, of how much he needs Youngjae.

Suddenly Youngjae stopped running, making Daehyun bumped to him in his track, and he turned around and gripped Daehyun's shirt with his face pale. He looked like he had trouble breathing; he frowned and gasped to inhale as much oxygen as he can. 

"Jae? What's wrong?"

Youngjae only looked at him and gave him a forced smile, but then he gasped even louder. His legs gave up and he fainted, Daehyun held him right away in reflex.

"JAE!!!"

The gardener must've heard him because he ran to his side and told him he'll be back with nurses and doctors right away. He didn't even realize when the nurses rushed to take Youngjae to the crutcher. One of the nurses told him he should wait for Youngjae outside his room and that they'll do their best to make Youngjae stable again.

The first thing that came to his mind after the numbness was that he was afraid of losing Youngjae in his life. That was the first time the reality dawned on him, that Youngjae was ill, no matter how he tried to hide it with his smile and cheerful personality. And it was the first time he felt as if the world has stopped moving.
