“Runaway train never going back. Wrong way on a one-way track. Seems like I should be getting somewhere. Somehow I’m neither here nor there.” Hyunseung sighed as he glanced over at the sleeping boy beside him. This was a lot more difficult than he thought it would be. It had been three days and all they had succeeded in translating was the chorus. Junhyung spent their work time sleeping so it was all on Hyunseung.

Hyunseung sighed once again as he leaned back in his chair and rubbed his eyes. ‘Maybe we should call this good for today…’ Just then his phone started vibrating in his pocket. He fished it out and answered it with a sigh.

“Hi, Umma, yes, no, no, wait what?” Hyunseung sat up straight in his chair, back going stiff. He listened to his mother for a few minutes before hanging up. He stared into space, arms limp at his sides. His cell phone slipping from his hand and crashing to the floor is what broke him from his stupor.

Hyunseung quickly picked up his phone and turned to his enemy. Forgetting everything that had happened to him and forgetting about the punishment he would get for doing what he was about to do, he reached his hand forward and shook the sleeping boy’s shoulder.

“Mmm…go…away…” he mumbled in his sleep as he leaned away from the hand on him.

Hyunseung sighed angrily as he reached forward once more, only this time he pushed the sleeping boy out of his chair. He woke with a start as his body collided with the floor. Junhyung looked around confused at first before looking up at the older boy who was shoving all his things in his backpack.

“Yah! What the hell was that for?!” Junhyung stood up, ready to punch the one who woke him up so violently. Hyunseung didn’t even look over at him.

“I need to go. Turn this into the teacher.” He handed him the lyrics that he had translated before turning to leave.

“What the ? We need to turn this in together or we don’t get credit for it.”

“Just tell the teacher that I had to go.” He started to walk away.

“Yah!” Junhyung reached forward and grabbed the other boy from leaving. “I’m not failing this assignment because your pimp is calling. You can go him later. First we need to turn this in.”

Junhyung was not expecting what came next. The next thing he knew, he was back on the floor with a burning jaw and blood coming out the side of his mouth.

“Just turn it in.” With that Hyunseung ran out of the room and out of the school.

Junhyung remained on the floor as his hand slowly came up to his lips. 'What the hell just happened?' He wiped away some of the blood and then looked at it staining his fingertips. This was an entirely new feeling for him. He couldn’t remember the last time he had been punched. And it was Hyunseung, the one that he makes life a living hell for. The one that has no friends and doesn’t say anything. It just didn’t make any sense.

“Hyung…” Junhyung looked up to see Gikwang standing in front of him with a confused look on his face. “what are you doing on the floor…?”

Junhyung looked around like he had just realized that he hadn’t gotten up. He reached up, wiping away the rest of the blood on his lip before standing up.

“No reason.” He said as he started packing up all his things. “I have to go turn this in.” He held up the sheet of paper that Hyunseung had handed him before he left.

“Where’s Hyunseung-shii?” Gikwang asked nonchalantly.

Junhyung paused in his ministrations before continuing on. “Why are you asking about that ?” He glanced up at the younger boy.

“N-no reason.” Gikwang stuttered out quickly. “I just expected him to be here with you…” He scratched the back of his head nervously.

Junhyung stared at him for a few moments before turning away again.

“He left a while ago.” Gikwang nodded his head slightly. He looked around for second before his eyes fell on his hyung’s cheek.

“Hyung! What happened to your face?” His eyes got really big as he noticed the cut in the corner of the other boy’s lip and the bruise that was forming on his cheek.

Junhyung’s hand moved up to his cheek. “Oh this, I got hit in the face with a basketball when playing a game earlier.” He came up with the lie on the spot.

Gikwang examined him a bit more but decided to just accept his hyung’s story. He then moved to helpe his hyung clean up his supplies.

Once everything was packed up, the two went to the teacher’s office. Gikwang stood outside as Junhyung walked in to turn in the assignment.

“Where is Hyunseung-shii?” the teacher asked the teenager.

“He had to leave. Something came up so he told me to turn this in by myself.” Junhyung glared into space as he explained why Hyunseung wasn’t there.

The teacher shook his head as he leaned back in his chair. “What is that boy thinking…? I can’t give you credit for today. The point is for you to work together and bring me the results together. Since it’s only you I can’t give you credit.”

“What?! Come on, teach. I need this grade. If I don’t get credit then there was no point in me staying after all this time. Just because that ran away before turning this in doesn’t mean that I should be punished for it as well!” Junhyung argued.

“Watch your language, Junhyung-shii.” The teacher glared. “There will be no use of words such as that when I’m around. And why should I give you credit that you don’t deserve? You may have stayed after but I know that you haven’t done anything for this project so far. You just sit there while Hyunseung-shii does all the work. If you want to get credit without Hyunseung-shii being here, do some of the work.” With that he turned back to his desk as he listened to the teenager scoff and storm out of the room angrily.

“Hyunseung-shii…what are you doing? You’ve never skipped out on getting good grades before this. I wonder what happened.” The teacher sighed as he thought of the boy that was always bullied. He had always wished that there was something that he could do to help the boy but he knew that any help from him would only make the bullying worse. So, he came up with the idea of making the two of them working together to try and get them to get along. He knew it was a long shot, but at least it was something.

Gikwang glanced at his hyung for what seemed like the thousandth time in the last five minutes. They were walking out of the school and Junhyung was glaring at the ground muttering curses at the teacher and Hyunseung. He had no idea what had happened but he knew better than to get in the middle of it.

‘Just wait you , I’ll get you back for that punch. Just wait for tomorrow.’ Junhyung thought with a smirk forming on his face.

The next day came, Junhyung excited to get his revenge. The bruise on his face had become more prominent which just pushed him even further. He couldn’t wait to find the dark haired, glasses wearing boy. He looked all over the school but couldn’t find him. He continued to look for the rest of the day; but, for the first time in his life, Hyunseung was not at school.

Yay! I got another chapter done right away ^_^ It will probably be awhile for the next chapter though because I have a research paper, a presentation, and finals coming up. Hopefully it won't be too long though =) Well, let me know what you think~
