Present
Teddy Bear
Luhan rubs his eyes sleepily as the warm sunlight peeps through his blinds. It is the first time he’s woken up without stinging eyes, a sore throat or anything wrong for that matter. He glances at his bedside clock.
8:00a.m.
Perfect.
He beams childishly as he tosses in his bed to face Sehun.
Hyung.
Hmm?
When you wake up in the morning, there’s going to be a beautiful present right here.
Luhan stares at the teddy bear placed upright on the pillow. Sehun’s side of the bed is already completely made up.
There’s going to be a beautiful present right here...
“There’s a teddy bear…” Luhan begins. He stares around the room. There are no photos of him and Sehun. There are none of Sehun’s favourite books lining the massive ebony cabinet they had bargained for at a cheap auction together. There nothing of Sehun anywhere.
“There’s a teddy bear…”
He’s choking back the tears now. He hugs the bear tightly, curling his legs up and softly whimpering into the soft synthetic fur.
“…where you are supposed to be.”
