Previously on 'The Guy Next Door'...

"You dirty bastard!" Kris yelled as he forcefully took hold of Kai's jacket from behind, punching him on the jaw.

"Dude, what's your problem?" Kai yelled, as he stumbled, failing to punch Kris.

Baekhyun stepped in as Chanyeol controlled Kris.

"Get out. NOW" Baekhyun yelled, forcing Naeun to run out of the balcony with hot tears streaming down her face.

"He's been spiked" Baekhyun blurted out, pointing at the passed out Kai.

Already, the fight had caused major breakthrough throughout the party as students rushed towards the garden examining the scene from the balcony. Krystal had just witnessed the scene, leaving her with an empty heart.

"K-Krystal" Sehun murmured trying to grab her hand but failed as she ran out with her hands covering her face.

Fresh, hot tears streamed down Krystal's face as she struggled to go through the dance floor. Truthfully, Krystal never had a thing for Kai but after watching him kiss Naeun she felt so...heartbroken.

"Krystal!" Sehun yelled but failed as he watched Krystal exit the house.

A single raindrop landed on Krystal's forehead as she stepped outside. It only took a matter of time before the downpour begun, leaving Krystal soaking wet from head to toe. Despite her feet aching from her heels, she dragged her feet as she walked at a customary pace. Teardrops streamed down her face as the rain water blended in, hiding the evidence of her somber.

From a distance, Sehun could see Krystal walking with her head down. This wasn't the first time he has seen Krystal sad and it will definitely be the last. He was sure of it.

"Sehun sunbae" Krystal mumbled as she stared up at Sehun who was also soaking wet from the rain.

Without a word, Sehun brought Krystal in for a deep embrace, her head leaning on his chest as his arms wrapped around her fragile body.

"S-Sehun, I-I'm cold" she stuttered, shivering from the rain. Sehun nodded as he embraced Krystal tighter ignoring the rain splashing all over their bodies.

The party had ended and as planned, the students of Angel and Genie high sauntered back together back to their schools. As much as Kris hated the guts out of Kai, he ignored it as he carried Kai on his back who passed out from the affect of the spiked drink.

"Sehun and Krystal are nowhere to be seen" Sulli said worried, as she rubbed her arms from the cold. Chanyeol sighed as he laid an arm around Sulli.

"I'm sure their fine" Baekhyun said as he stared down on the damped ground, wet from the downpour.

Luhan remained quiet as he dug his hands deeper in the pockets of his jacket. As much as everyone were worried of the safety of Kyrsytal and Sehun, some part of Luhan remained sane. He's been watching Sehun quite closely recently and by all means he knew what was going in his head, especially his feelings. A small smile crept upon his face, Krystal was going to be fine because Sehun was with her. He was always by her side.

Sehun sighed tapping his foot impatiently on the brick pavement infront of Angel High. Krystal had fallen asleep from the wait, resting her head on Sehun's shoulder. The two were waiting for Jessica, who Sehun called for help. He knew Krystal wasn't in the right state of mind to see the others, especially Kai, who was her very least priority. At that very moment, a black car pulled over and out came Donghae and Jessica clearly seen with a worried expression on their faces. Donghae sighed as he gently took Krystal bridal style bringing her over to the car. Sehun watched from a distance as Donghae slowly placed Krystal into the car without realizing that Jessica was right next to him observing his worried expression.

"She'll be fine, don't worry" Jessica smiled, as she rubbed Sehun's arm to calm his nerves.

"Thanks for picking her up" Sehun said as a sneeze escaped out of his lips.

Jessica smiled.

"No, thank you" She said before walking away leaving Sehun a little confused.

Sehun entered the dorms, finding the rooms empty; the guys weren't there yet. Sighing to himself, Sehun took out a towel and fresh new clothes, ready to take a warm shower from the rain water that dropped on him earlier. Making his way towards his bed, he muttered a silent prayer as he pulled up the covers. Just then, the sounds of the doorknob flickering was heard and he knew that the guy's were back. Pretending to sleep, he heard footsteps as a small thud was heard on one of the beds. It was Kris, literally dropping Kai on the bed.

"I can't stare at him. He makes me sick at the moment" Sehun heard Kris scoff, as the bathroom door shutting echoed within the room.

The sounds of the shower flickering was heard and Sehun assumed it was Kris, leaving only Luhan, Chanyeol, Baekhyun and a passed out Kai in the room.

"I'm going to check on Sulli" Sehun heard Chanyeol mutter as the door shut, followed by another pair of footsteps.

"Wait up, I'm coming with you" It was Baekhyun.

Sehun continued to pretend to sleep as he felt another presence in the room. He knew it was Luhan and Luhan knew he was pretending to sleep. Sighing to himself, Luhan headed towards the direction of Sehun's bunk as he stopped right in front of him. Kneeling down to his level, Luhan begun to talk, resting his back on the sides of the bed.

"It hurt's doesn't it?" Luhan said, a hint of sadness heard in his voice. Sehun frowned,oblivious to what he was saying.

"Seeing the one you love get hurt by your enemy" Sehun froze. His breathing stopped and beads of cold sweat formed on his forehead. Sehun kept quiet most of the time and rarely expressed his feelings to anyone. How did Luhan know? But most of all, how did Luhan see it?

Practically reading his mind, a faint chuckle escaped out of Luhan. But not the chuckle you hear when your happy, but the chuckle that sounds sarcastic enough to believe the person was sad.

"Ahh, you could say that I'm a mind reader. I could read people like a book! I could tell when they're happy, troubled...heartbroken. You know why?" Luhan paused and Sehun was quite eager to hear his answer.

"Because I was once in your position. Seeing the one you love, being taken away by the enemy. What's worse, your best friend. But hey, all that's the past now. I'm in Korea living the good life and...and I got you guys" A faint sniff was heard and Sehun knew Luhan was crying.

That was when it hit him. Behind the smiles, the talk and the laughing, Luhan was suffering just like him. Why didn't he notice it before? Was he that occupied with Krystal? Or was Luhan just great at acting? How could someone so cheerful be so sad in the inside without them showing it?

"All I could say is that Krystal is a keeper" and with that Sehun heard Luhan get up walking towards his bed.

"Oh and one more thing. At times like these, it's best if you don't always keep your hopes up" and with that Sehun was left thinking.

Krystal woke up from the morning sun rays, illuminating the room from the bright window. A sneeze escaped out of her thin lips and vivid images suddenly came to mind. She remembered the rain, the crying and the pain she suffered last night. Sighing to herself she got up from bed, just realizing she wasn't in her room. She was in her sister's home. Walking towards the door, she noticed a black jacket hanging from the chair. It was Sehun's, who she remembered him wrapping it around her when they were waiting for her sister. Slighting twisting the doorknob, the sounds of cutlery were heard from downstairs making Krystal curious. It was Jessica and her boyfriend Donghae, eating breakeast while acting all lovey-dovey. Clearly , the couple instantly backed away with Donghae standing up from his chair looking quite flustered.

"G-Goodmorning Krystal" Donghae stuttered, receiving a faint chuckle from Jessica.

"Goodmorning Donghae" Krystal laughed, as the two sister's shared eye-contact making Donghae a little embarrass.

"Umm..I'll go get your breakfeast" and with that, Donghae instantly left the dining room leaving the two sister's behind.

Krystal made her way towards her sister as she sat next to her on the dining table. Jessica smiled as she held Krystal's hand.

"Are you okay?" Jessica said sweetly, as she Krystal's hair.

Krystal nodded as her eyes landed on their hands. Jessica has a ring on her ring finger!

"You're ENGAGED!!!" Krystal said with her eyes wide open and agape. Just then,Donghae entered the room with a plate of scrambled eggs with toast and a bowl of chicken soup, to clear her cold from the rain.

Krystal watched Donghae place the plate of food on the table, with a grin clearly shown on her face. Her heart fluttered as she watched the newly-engaged couple share eye-contact. She was proud of her sister, she believed that Donghae was the right match for Jessica which made her happy. After watching Donghae leave the room for the two sister's to bond, Krystal and Jessica joined hands as the two squealed in excitement. After hearing the romantic story of how Jessica got engaged, it was time for Krystal to tell her story.

"But do you like him?" Jessica said ever so gently as she watched Krystal shake her head in confusion.

"I don't think so. Kai is a bit-" Krystal was cut off when Jessica shook her head.

"Not him, but the guy who took care of you lastnight" Jessica said making Krystal freeze. The guy that Jessica was talking about was Sehun not Kai. And after thinking of an answer, Krystal's heart fluttered.

She couldn't be falling for Sehun...right?
