Chapter 7 – Donghae!

Jonghyun’s POV

We snuck into the school grounds and nearly got caught. Luckily there was a bush we could all hide in. I got so many scratches when we hid in that bush. Good thing I’m not bleeding right now. Aish…

When we reached the fence at the back of the school, Kyuhyun lifted one of the wide wood panels that was somehow broken and we all crawled under after Leeteuk did. We were now in an empty lot. Huh? “Where is the mansion?” I asked confused as I raised an eyebrow. “Why don’t you try looking ahead?” Yesung suggested. I looked forward and saw a huge mansion that looked like the one in the photograph.

There were dead trees at the front yard, its empty branches sticking out. We crossed the narrow road and walked up on the steps before we stopped and looked around. “This place is creepy…” Key shuddered. “I know.” We all agreed before we kept walking towards the door steps. Kyuhyun tried to push the door open and to my surprise, the door was already unlocked. Now we don’t have to look around to try and find the key. Leeteuk entered the house first before we all followed after him. It was really dark in there. Why didn’t I think of bringing a torch? Just then, Ryeowook spoke up. “Hey guys, Yesung and I brought torches.” I think he read my mind just then. He and Yesung dug into their pockets and took out four small torches. They weren’t that small. They were just the right size, big enough to fit in their pockets and bright enough to show you the way. “We’ve only got four so we have to share it between 2 people each.” Yesung said before handing me a torch. “Jonghyun, you’ll share with Key, Taemin will share one with Minho, Onew will share one with Leeteuk and I’ll share mine with Ryeowook and Kyuhyun.” We all tested our torches to see if it worked. Luckily, every torch worked. “Okay, so let’s split up and find clues. We have to meet here at 11:30 so that gives us one hour to look for clues considering it is 10:30 right now. Kyuhyun, Yesung, Ryeowook, Leeteuk and I will be searching for clues on the first floor and the left half of the second floor while the rest of you guys will be searching for clues on the right side of the second floor a
