Chapter 13 – It All Ends… Maybe

On the very first page, it had one word, ‘Broken Heart’…

Jonghyun’s POV

Taemin carefully turned the page once everyone had read the previous page. I read through the handwritten words quickly. It seemed to be song lyrics. I wonder what it’s for. It’s something about healing a broken heart. How can this solve the mystery? I guess I’ll have to think hard.

“What do you guys think it is?” I questioned everyone who was thinking deeply at the moment. “Well, I don’t really know.” Onew answered without giving me an answer. I read through the page again before speaking up. “Well, it seems to me like this is a song. If you read through it carefully, you’ll notice there’s a rhythm in there.” Everyone agreed before thinking again. “What does this song have to do with getting rid of this curse?” Leeteuk asked getting a little bit tired of thinking. I looked at everyone else. They had the same expressions on their faces too. All except for Key… He seemed to still be deep in thought. It’s like he knows what the song is for, but he just can’t recall it. 

Silence filled the room for five minutes. It was so quiet that you could even hear music coming from North Korea. Okay maybe that was too exaggerated. Let me fix that. It was so quiet that you could even hear a pin drop.

All of a sudden, Key’s face lit up and he started humming an unfamiliar song. He stopped exactly five seconds later. “What is it?” Ryeowook looked confused. “I think I know what this song is for!” Key exclaimed happily like he had just won a large amount of money, which he didn’t. “What?” Everyone, including me, curiously asked Key. “This song, I know where it’s from! I’ve heard it before! I knew that I’ve heard this song before…” Key kept rambling on and on, not really getting to the point. “Hurry up and tell us what this song is for!” Everyone, including me, shouted since we were getting quite impatient. “Okay. Well this song, I’ve heard it in that weird nightmare thing I had when I passed out. It was the song the two played together on the piano while they sang along. I think I know what we have to do!
