You sat there on the cold floor a moment longer while scratching behind Nix’s ear. "What should I do? He's a warlock too... Do you know from which tribe he is?" you asked absentmindedly looking at the other end of the room.

"If you want, I can shape-shift for you and you can go home." Nix offered, avoiding the question. She nudged your cheek with her cold nose.

"Could you? I don't feel so good, and I don't want to meet him again, at least today." you asked with a glint of hope in your eyes and a week smile on your lips.

Nix nodded and you snapped your fingers, and with a small incantation, your eyes flashed silvery grey.

Then before you stood Nix only now she was the exact replica of you, with a small white bell bracelet on her left hand, hidden under the uniforms jacket’s sleeve jingling a little at every move.

The bracelet was the bond with you, and your animals, Luna having the same bracelet as Nix only Nix’s is black; you have a bracelet with both white and black beads.

"Now please go straight home and please don't stay with the fairies for too long. You need your rest" she scolded you like mother and you just nodded with a slight smile.

Nix and Luna replaced your mother in most ways since they got to you. They were the best thing you could get.

You sneaked out of school while Nix went back to your classroom. With a sigh, you went back home, your thoughts slipping back to those dark chocolate eyes that printed themselves into your mind’s eye.

After awhile, Eunae came back into the class, but something was off.

I suddenly put my finger on it, Where is her spirit animal? I thought to Mulciber.

Did I mention that I can mind-speak with my spirit animals. Another perk of magic, this way I don’t look mad when I’m talking to them and no one else sees them. Plus I can talk during class and not get busted.

That is her spirit animal. We have bigger problems though Mulciber thought back. Remember you history lesson from a few weeks ago, about how World War One really started?

Yeah, the Clan Unda and Clan Aura had been fighting for about a year over political power (Yes we have a type of government) when the Hungarian Prince got caught in the cross-fire which was the match to the gasoline soaked situation. After that Clan Ignis united with Aura and Clan Terra joined alliances with us.

Right, do you remember when it ended? Mulciber asked me.

I thought for a minute. It didn’t end, the fight is still going, it’s like the humans War of the Roses or the Hundred year War. What does that have to do with her though? Wait please do not tell me she is from Clan Aura. Mulciber didn’t say anything. .

Language Mulciber scolded.I grumbled and looked at the fox-turned-girl and wondered if Eunae knew what I now knew.

Maybe that is why she left. I wonder why the magic showed her to me if we are on opposite sides of war line. Maybe we are to end the war. Maybe we are what decides the war, so many possibilities.

As you came thru the door Luna ran down with her fur standing up in wo
