It’s merely two days away from Valentine’s Day and everyone in the school were keep talking about giving chocolate or preparing a gift for their boyfriend and girlfriend. Girls were busy making a preparation, while the boys couldn’t help but feeling curious about who will give them chocolate this year. Out of all the festive, Soojung, Sulli, and Jiyeon seemed to be the three lost girls in the middle of the Valentine’s movement.

“This is . I don’t have any boyfriend this year, no chocolate. And probably no rose on the Rose Day then” Jiyeon said as she chew her marshmallow.

“That’s why you shouldn’t break up with Jinwoon oppa, you silly girl” Sulli pinched Jiyeon’s cheek. Jiyeon pinched Sulli’s cheek back and both of them kept doing it while laughing until they heard Soojung sighed pretty loud.

“Ok, what’s wrong with you?” asked Jiyeon with big curiousity.

“What?” Soojung asked back, clueless.

“You were sighing. Is there anything wrong?”

Soojung shook her head. “Nothing. Why?”

Jiyeon and Sulli chuckled. “Ah, she’s becoming like that again. You don’t have anything to worry right, Soojung? Urgh, lucky you to have Minho oppa as your boyfriend…”

Soojung slightly smiled. She looked away to the class’ window and staring blankly at the basketball field. She has a problem of course, a little problem with Minho. After dating him for almost a year, she started to feel a bit bland. There’s nothing special anymore. They already celebrated their 100 days, 300 days, Valentine day, White day, Rose day, any day and any type of celebration and she felt….bored. She just didn’t know what to do on this Valentine day, that’s why she put less care when she accompanied Sulli later to the market.

“Chocolate? Are you going to make a chocolate?” Soojung asked in curiosity when she looked at Sulli’s shopping cart. Sulli bought several types of chocolate bars and some variants of nuts.

“No, I’m helping Sooyoung unnie. You know, ever since she broke up with Yoochun oppa, she started her new hobby: cooking. And now, she started to bake something. We will make a cupcake tomorrow”

“So you’re not going to make any chocolate?” Soojung asked again, making Sulli rolled her eyes.

“No, I’m not. Aren’t you going to make it? I guess Minho oppa will love surprise” Sulli winked to Soojung while she walked passed her.

Soojung looked at the chocolate section. She shrugged and immediately chose several bars of chocolate and took out a big package of almond. Guess someone’s going to be busy in the kitchen this weekend…

Valentine’s Day finally coming and Soojung was busy taking her extra bag filled with boxes of chocolate to the school. She planned to give all the chocolate she made to her close friends and teachers in school. When Soojung arrived at her class, everyone was just busy preparing the chocolate and gifts. Around the first break time, almost everyone in the school started to exchange gifts. Soojung also joined and shared several chocolates she made to Sulli, Jiyeon, and some girls in her class. In amidst of exchanging the chocolate, she saw Sehun came to the class with his face blocked by tons of chocolate boxes. As expected, the famous Oh Sehun received so many chocolates.

“Daebak! You always made it the best, Sehun…” Jiyeon said as she helped Sehun put the boxes to his desk.

“Thank you, Beautiful. One box of chocolate especially given for you” Sehun said as he took out a box of chocolate and gave it to Jiyeon. Sulli and Soojung cracked a smile while looking at these playboy and playgirl of their school. Soojung sometimes think that Jiyeon and Sehun should be a couple, because they matched each other pretty well.

“Another box for you” Soojung said as she gave her home-made chocolate. Sehun eyes grew bigger as he saw it.

“Thank you. I’ll just treat you a hot chocolate later, Soojung” Sehun winked at her.

“Are you alone today? Where’s Jongin?” Sulli asked, making all of them looking at Jongin’s empty desk. Well yeah, it’s empty without him but it filled with chocolates and gifts, given by some junior and another Jongin’s fans. Jongin and Sehun made it to be the top 10 famous boys of Hangang High School that you should give your chocolate to on Valentine’s Day.

“He went for a test at the university. He decided to major Performing Art, so he needed to do some test; dancing and some performances…” Sehun answered while counting the boxes he had.

Soojung held her chocolate box; she’s a bit hesitated to give Jongin the chocolate and finally decided to keep the box back to her bag. It seemed like he didn’t need more chocolate, she thought. 

When the school ended that day, Soojung decided to give the chocolates to the teachers before they going home. Sulli and Jiyeon headed first to the English Course, while Soojung stayed longer in school to give the chocolate. Soojung didn’t have to take English class, as she’s fluent in English already.  Soojung brought her bag that’s filled with the chocolate bag. It was quite heavy since she put around 30 boxes of chocolate. Right before she gave up lifting the bag, someone took the bag from her hand.

“Careful, Jung” Jongin’s hissed as he stood beside her. “What are you doing?” Jongin asked as he peeked at the bag. “Chocolate?”

“Thank God, you came! I thought my arm was going to fell off from my body…” She sighed as she stretched her arm. “I want to give the teacher some of the chocolate, just for fun…” she smiled widely. Soojung noticed Jongin immediately looked away when she smiled to him; she thought maybe there’s something wrong with her.

“Uh… I’ll help you” he brought the bag and both of them then walking in the alley, making their way to the teacher’s room. Soojung then started to distribute the chocolate to the teacher’s desks while Jongin held the bag for her. Once she done, Jongin was still stand beside her, waiting.

“Done?” he asked, looking at the bag on his hand. It’s almost empty now; only one box left.

Soojung grinned and took out the box from the bag. “For you” she gave the chocolate. Jongin looked a bit surprise.

“Me?”

“Well yeah, I know you’re already had lots of chocolates given but I made this and just want to share it to all of my friends” Soojung explained. She peeked at Jongin’s bag, it seemed like he didn’t take the chocolate boxes in his desk. “It’s fine if you don’t take it, maybe I should just give it to−“

“Thanks. I’ll eat it well” Jongin immediately took the box from Soojung’s hand and held it. Soojung smiled at him widely.

“Heading home?” he asked. Soojung nodded.

“It’s been a tiring day today” she said as she stretched her arms. “What are you doing here by the way? Ah! How’s your test today? Everything went well?”

Jongin nodded. “I took a book that I left yesterday, need to read some biology material. I had another test. Hmm.. well, I think I did my best on the test. Let’s just pray for now”

“Good luck, Jongin. Fighting!” Soojung fist her hands while smiling cutely, looking at Jongin. He slightly smirked when he looked back at her; somehow Soojung felt embarrassed and blushed unknowingly.

“Cute act doesn’t suit you…” he murmured while walking ahead from her.

“I heard it” Soojung replied while she playfully smacked Jongin’s arm and Jongin acted like he was hurt. Jongin grinned widely as he looked at her.

“Do you want to have some hot chocolate? Uh... My treat” Jongin suddenly asked.

“Sure. It’s pretty cold today. Let’s go!” Soojung happily answered.

Both of them walking passed the school gate. Without Soojung knowing, Jongin’s smiled widely as he looked her back. It’s been almost a year and he still couldn’t lose his feeling to her. He immediately walked beside Soojung, but as he moved his hand accidentally met Soojung’s hand. Soojung stopped walking and looking awkwardly to Jongin, while Jongin’s suddenly became stiff. Their hand held each other for a while, without any tendency to pull it away.

“Oops. Sorry” Soojung finally pulled her hand away from Jongin’s. He’s just awkwardly scratched the back of his head. Both of them continued to walk again, heading to the coffee shop.

Don’t put your expectation too high, Jongin.

Summer holiday was coming again and it’s the last summer that Jongin will spend with his classmate. They’re all already graduated from high school and were all preparing for university. He’s already accepted at the university, majoring performing arts, just like what her sister Hyoyeon did and will start his class on the fall. Previously he wanted to go with her to State this summer, introduced to some of her friends that were also dancers but somehow he just wanted to spend it with his friends, especially when he heard that Chanyeol hyung is coming.

It was another gaming day that he had at Taemin’s place. He were slept over at his place, but Taemin then had to go to his cousin’s place so Jongin decided to go back to home earlier in the morning. Right when he’s about to sleep some more as he reached his bedroom, Sulli suddenly called him and asked him to join them at L amusement park. Turned out Suzy and Sehun already prepared a trip to the amusement park. At first, he’s a bit lazy and hesitated to go, but all he knew was he’s finally walked and arrived there.

It took him around 45 minutes to arrive there by bus. When he’s trying to call Sulli or Sehun to meet up, someone was calling his name and turned out it was the person that he wished to see the most: Soojung. She had just arrived, Yunho hyung drove her here as Jongin saw him waving from the car. Jongin couldn’t hide his excitement as soon as he saw Soojung walking towards him. He completely struck by her appearance today: short jeans, loose colorful t-shirt, sneakers, and most of it, her ponytail which made her revealed her neck. Jongin gulped and immediately sighed; he shook his head to keep his mind straight.

“Have you been waiting long here?” she asked as they walked to buy the tickets.

“Just arrived. Are you alone?” Jongin immediately regretted his question. Of course she is alone, did you see anyone with her, Jongin?

“I should be gone with Sulli, but Siwon oppa already drove her here so I went with Yunho oppa. Where are the others?”

Jongin was about to asked the same question as he saw Sehun and Suzy on the gateway of the amusement park, along with Sulli and Jiyeon. Once they meet, they immediately busy decided which one they should do. The decided to start with something light, something refreshing so they were just playing some easy rides. After two or three simple rides, they started to choose the roller coaster. They went crazy, riding it for around 4 times nonstop.

Jongin noticed that Soojung was extremely showing an excessive reaction. She screamed out loud, sometimes grabbed his arm and just screamed. He’s just responding with his big grin, enjoying her presence. After that, they immediately started to felt dizzy and tired. Suzy, the initiator of this trip was found sitting with pale face, along with Sulli, Soojung, and Jiyeon at the desk in the park.

“Oh come on! You’re feeling tired already? We’re just starting…” Sehun said with his famous judging face. Jongin almost sure he learned that expression from Kyungsoo hyung, their senior in high school.

“Oh shut up!” Suzy groaned in her pale face. Sehun and Jongin were just laughing at the girls. Jongin suddenly took the Polaroid that he brought, and took a picture of them.

Soojung stood up and went to see the picture; it’s her face yawning pretty big. “Ewww… that’s ugly! Why did you take it?” She smacked Jongin’s arm and all he did was just grinning at her.

“Still looking pretty, Soojung” Sehun added, Soojung pouted but then replied “Well, of course!”

Jongin smirked and took some more pictures. He’s tired too to be honest, but it’s fun. To relax their tense nerves, they chose the ferris wheel next.  When they rode it suddenly a couple kissed across their ride. All of them were gasping and tried to look away from it, only Sehun and Jiyeon who were laughed looking at it.

“Whoa, seriously… How come they did it openly like that?” Soojung commented in shock. She’s still traumatized with the fact that her sister once took her to watch American Pie with several of her friends, like Sooyoung unnie and Yuri unnie, that’s why she’s a bit sensitive about it.

“American Pie? What’s wrong with that?” Jiyeon responded plainly, making Sehun laughed of her.

“You even watched Skins! What’s with American Pie…” Sehun replied to Soojung. “Plus, you’re from the States and you’re feeling offended about kissing publicly? Oh come on”  

“Soojung, I guess you were never had kiss with Minho oppa?” Suzy suddenly guessing. Jongin could felt a cold sweat running through the back of his neck. He recalled the kiss on last year holiday and when he saw clueless Soojung, he felt guilty. To Jongin’s surprised, Soojung shook her head as answer to Suzy’s question.

“REALLY? You haven’t had your kiss with Minho oppa?!” Jiyeon asked in surprised.

Sulli were just shook her head at the corner of the ride, joining Jongin. “Seriously, should they really bring this topic?” Sulli whispered to Jongin. He could only shrug at her and continued watching the dialogue.

“I thought Minho hyung was fast, but he just showed the contrary. Whoa...” Sehun commented.

Soojung kicked Sehun’s feet. “Urgh, let’s eat… I’m hungry”

As soon as the ride ended, all of them were heading to the restaurant in the middle of the amusement park. They were enjoying the meals there: pizza, pasta, and coke. Soojung was more alive after she ordered ice cream; Jongin noticed and couldn’t help but smiled over it. Sehun and Suzy were really help to cheer up the situation.

It was like when they were in junior high school again, the difference was they are all about to head to university. Sulli and Suzy will be studying abroad, in State. While Sehun preferred to go to the same university with Jongin and Soojung, majoring in business. Soojung took Fashion Business and will have her first 2 years in university at Seoul but planning to continue her third year in London or Paris, until graduation. It’s just nice to meet like this before they all heading to different ways.

Out of everyone, Sulli seemed to be one who was restless. She kept looking at the time and she was just wandering around. Turned out she told everyone that she crazily said that she dislike seeing Chanyeol with another girl. And Chanyeol asked her to go back home with him later on. The girls were busy chit and chat, saying the possibility that Chanyeol might also felt the same like her. It just didn’t help, Sulli kept looking anxious.

When they decided to end their trip, they were going back separately. As Jongin and Soojung lived in the same area, they went back together. Sehun and Suzy went back together while Jiyeon accompanied Sulli until she met Chanyeol. Soojung and Jongin were still standing in front of the gate of the amusement park.

“Should we just head home?” Soojung asked Jongin.

“It’s up to you. If you want to accompany Sulli, then−“, Jongin’s words were interrupted by Soojung’s head shake. “Uh... Okay, let’s go back” he answered to himself.

Inside the bus, there’s nothing worth to talk about. Soojung kept sighing while she sat next to Jongin. He noticed that the girl beside him was wandering around, looking blandly at the window. Jongin was about to ask if there’s anything wrong, but he decided to just keep silent and sometimes glance at her. Jongin enjoyed the comfortable silence between them, but as soon as she saw her sighing again, he took out his iPod and gave the earphones to Soojung’s lap.

“It’s nice to hear some songs when you’re feeling unwell” he said, ignoring the confused look of Soojung. She slightly smiled and the iPod, looking for some nice songs. Jongin just smirked and looking around the bus, it wasn’t really full and thank God they will arrive less than 30 more minutes. Jongin suddenly felt someone plugged the earphone to his right ears, it was Soojung.

“It’d be better to share some nice song with a companion” she said as she plugged another earphone to her left ear and played nice indie music. Jongin held his smile; he knew he couldn’t be this happy to share a moment with his senior’s girlfriend but his heart couldn’t help it.

They stopped listening to the song once they arrived at the bus stop. Jongin walked Soojung to home, just like he usually did. He didn’t know how long it will last, but somehow he wanted to keep some moments. Without him knowing, they’re almost arrived at Soojung’s house.

“Hmm.. Thanks for walking me home, Jongin” she said as she smiled.

“You’re welcome” Jongin replied. He’s then thought to confess to Soojung about the kiss. He felt really guilty towards her, so he decided to tell her. “Uh.. Soojung”

Soojung looked at him, waiting. “Yes?”

“I have uh… I have something to tell… Uh… to confess” Jongin scratched the back of his head, his habit whenever he’s feeling nervous. He took a deep breath but still couldn’t find the gut to tell her the truth. Soojung were also sighing too.

“I also have a thing to tell too…” Soojung suddenly said. Jongin looked at her in surprise. “Can I say it first?”

Jongin nodded, waiting for Soojung.

“Erm.. to be honest, when I talked about the kiss… I felt uncomfortable…” she stopped, looking at Jongin’s reaction but he just appeared stiff. “I don’t have any problem not kissing or being kissed by him… I even never had my first kiss though…”

Damn it you had it with me, Jung! Jongin thought. He hissed at her words.

“Okay, so the problem is…?”

“I broke up with Minho oppa”

Jongin calmly responded with a cough. That’s why she looked very gloomy today, he thought.

“Ok” he replied. Actually he wanted to ask her more about the break up, but he stopped at the word “Ok”.

“Can we go somewhere? Seriously I don’t want to be home, not now…” Soojung desperately looked at him.

“C’mon” he said as he started walking. Soojung continued walking with him.

“Thanks for not asking, Jongin” she murmured when she walked next to him. Jongin were just smiled weakly at her.

There I was… comforting the girl I like while she mend her broken heart. Life couldn’t be crueler than this, right?
