Good Luck With That (がんばってね)
When he was finally able to get off of the elevator, Changmin ran around looking for Jinae but couldn't find her. He had spent every free second he had looking for her but didn't see a sign of her anywhere. He had even asked a few of the other trainees but they said they never knew where she would go.
Changmin decided to leave the building and take a walk to get some air. He talked to himself, "where is she? Why did she have to come at those moments?! Now she thinks I'm some kind of violent freak who plays with guys in elevators." Changmin gasped and yelled, "she wouldn't think I'm gay would she?!" People looked over at him and he covered his head with his hood, hunching his back over.
"I thought idols wouldn't want attention drawn to them when they're out in public but maybe you're different?" he turned to see the person who noticed him. "An attention-seeker?"
"Jinae!"
"Why are you saying my name so informally?"
"Because I'm your sunbae. How old are you?"
"I'm 20."
"I'm your oppa too," he smirked. "You should be calling me oppa."
"I think sunbae is more appropriate."
"But I want you to call me oppa."
"Why do guys like that? Is it some kind of -infatuation that comes from watching too much or something like that? A love for forbidden relationships?"
"I don't watch too much !" he yelled again.
"So you do watch ? Hmm, maybe that is it. Well, good bye Changmin-sunbae. Good luck disguising yourself while yelling. I hope you get the attention you want."
"Wait! I want your attention!" Changmin said without thinking and once he did think about it, he blushed heavily.
"My attention? What for?"
"I just..." As Changmin tried to fish for a reason, he remembered one of the tips he read online about being mysterious to get the woman curious. "Nevermind."
"Okay. Bye." His jaw dropped as she continued walking away like nothing. Did I not make her curious? I should try again! Changmin walked at her pace once he caught up.
"Hey."
"Hello again sunbae. Did you need something?"
For a rude girl, she's actually pretty polite... "Not from you. You wouldn't be able to help me."
"I see."
"..."
"..."
"Aren't you curious about what it is you can't help me with?"
"..."
"Jinae?"
"Hmm? What? I'm sorry. Were you talking to me?"
Changmin wanted to hide his face in his hands. Why isn't it working?! Maybe I'll try being the bad boy type. "Who else is here? What's wrong with your brain? Did someone drop you as a baby? Aish, pay more attention! You were dropped huh?"
"I think it'd be better to ask my parents that one. If I was dropped on my head, it's not as if I would remember it. People hardly remember things before they're 5."
He stared at her blankly. "Uh...why do you dress like that? Do you not care what people think when they see you? Not that there's much to look at anyway."
"I wear clothes because legally we're all obligated to. Is there some other reason to get dressed in the morning?"
Again, he stared at her. Does nothing faze her? "Where are you going now?"
"Why do you want to know?"
"Just tell me."
"This feels like deja vu...hmm..."
"We had this conversation before? Sorry I forgot. I don't remember anything unless it's important."
"Are we done with the small talk yet? I told you I don't like to engage in such things."
Changmin grabbed her by the arm and pushed her against the wall. "What about this?" he asked, reaching up to caress her face.
Her eyes widened and Changmin felt proud when she stopped struggling against his grip. "Changmin-sunbae," she said.
Yes, now she's reacting to me! Whee!!! "Yes Jinae?" I played with a piece of her hair.
"I'm not good at assessing people's emotions based off of their facial expressions but the police officer that's walking over here doesn't look very happy with you."
"What?! Oh crap! Run!" Changmin ran away as fast as he could and Jinae watched him run off.
"Hello Tom-ahjussi. Cop cosplay this time?"
"Yes! I need to swtich it up sometimes. Come by the bakery again soon~"
"I will. Good bye."
"Bye~"
Jinae started walking to her initial destination again. "Who knew his reaction would be so strong? Normally people like Tom-ahjussi's cosplay." She started laughing. "I guess he doesn't like cosplay. Funny since Hyesung told me he's known to like . He must like the classier type of . Ah...is there a classier type of ? Maybe I will ask one day...if I talk to him again..."
