Prologue

            Long ago, when Heaven and Earth were beating in unison, when the Skies and the Grounds were one, entities known as Legends ruled Universe. To put order in that vast Universe, Legends created the Tree of Life. From that tree sprung life in all of Universe. From that tree emerged the forces that control the balance of life in Universe. In return, they formed a brotherhood sworn to nurture and protect the Tree of Life. Thus, the tree bore fruit, and its’ seeds were scattered throughout the vastness of Universe.

            The forces did not agree to it, wanting to plant more Trees of Life, that each could nurture his own tree. But the Legends knew that it would tip off the balance of life. They also realized that formation of Evil in the hearts of the forces is inevitable. They decided to banish the forces into the Dark of the Universe, away from the Tree of Life. The banished forces formed a new brotherhood called Red Forces and was ruled by what they called Eyes.

            Of the forces, twelve remained loyal to the tree and the Legends, so they were allowed to continue the task of nurturing the tree. Each were rewarded with a reinforcement of their own forces, and they were then called the Twelve Forces.

Twelve Forces with abilities reinforced

Continue to nurture the Tree of Life;

One who summons Water to rise

Another to turn water to Ice;

One with warmth and brightness of Sun

Another to control Seasons;

One with Strength of steel

Another who can Heal;

One who bends Time, but not Space

Another who bends Space but not Time;

One who whispers Wind’s might

Another with the gift of Flight;

One with the power over Mind

Another who breathes Fire;

Together, they keep the balance of Universe

But instability will cause them to disperse.

            That day came. In the Dark of Universe, an Eye of Red Forces created the Evil, which coveted the Heart of the Tree of Life. The Evil engulfed the tree in whole, until it could no longer breathe, and the Heart had slowly gone dry. Seeing this, the Legends circled around the tree to attempt to embrace the Heart of the Tree of Life, but failed. Legends, hereby divided the tree in half and hid each side. The Tree of Life was lost. So were the Legends. Hence time is overturned, and space turned askew.

            The Twelve Forces assumed responsibility as the new Legends to rule Universe, but Universe was never as before. So the Twelve Forces divided into two, and created two Suns that look alike, into two Worlds that seem alike. The Legends traveled apart in search of the two Half-Trees with hopes of reviving it. Thus the Legends shall now see the same sky, but shall stand on different grounds; Shall stand on the same ground, but shall see different skies.

            It will remain thus, until the day the Grounds beget a single fault before one Sky. That day, in two worlds that seem alike, the Legends shall greet each other, signaling the end that is nearing. The day the Red Forces purify, and Twelve Forces reunite, they will turn into one perfect root – a new root where a new Tree of Life will spring, where a New World shall open up.

            As for the present, the Twelve Forces were scattered and the world became as we now know it.
