I've Got My Eyes On Youchapter eight
Jiyong
I felt a pang in my heart; Dara couldn't remember me.
Why me?
The beautiful memories, the plans I planned to tell her who I am had already vanished into thin air. I lost the will, to go on, the guilt was enough to make me feel depressed.
But something at the back of my mind told me to make Dara remember me.
Dara
Who was that guy?
"You really don't know who he is? At all?" Bom pressed further as she asked me for the nth time.
I really can't recall anything.
Was he important to me?
As I was about to ask Bom, she stepped away and made a phone call.
So, I asked Seunghyun instead.
'Where am I? Who's that guy? Do I know him?' I inquired.
He stood there, momentarily stunned; he did not know what to answer.
'It's better to ask Bommie.'
'Oh okay.'
Was he hiding something from me?
He gave me a warm smile as Bom spoke into the phone at the corner of the room.
'Hello Auntie? Dara woke up. She's fine.'
Bom called my parents. And they were coming.
'Was I in an accident?'
'Yes.'
I gingerly turned to the voice leading to that weird guy I didn't recognise. I nodded as I saw Bom hang up the phone.
'Dara, your parents are coming now.'
She then turned to the guy beside me.
'Jiyongie, you better go now. You can come tomorrow with Seunghyun to visit Dara. He's leaving now.'
Seunghyun looked flabbergasted.
Bom gave him a say-no-more look, as he gave in.
'Dara, I'll be going now with Seunghyun hyung. Take care. I love you.' he kissed the crown of my head as I muttered a goodbye.
As they left, Bom asked me a question.
'Have you really forgetten him? Tell the truth.'
'Who's he? All I know that is his name is Jiyong.'
Bom sadly shook her head as she told me to rest.
Jiyong
I was broken on the inside, Dara couldn't remember me. Furthermore, her parents hates me.
How much worst can this get?
'Jiyongie, I'll drive.'
I nodded as I got into the passenger seat.
Throughout the whole journey to my apartment, my mind was filled of memories with Dara.
Before I knew it, I reached my apartment.
'Jiyong, I'll fetch you at 12 tomorrow. To visit Dara.'
'Okay.'
'Cheer up, bro. She'll remember you one day.'
