It seems you weren’t the only one annoyed by Jay’s actions today. Bae looked like he wanted to explode. Out of all the guys you had known Bae the longest. You had met in high school and instantly became best friends. This was probably the first time you had seen him so frustrated. His face had turned a light shade of red as he was trying to understand Jay’s logic.

‘WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE THE DANCE 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE!!!’ He shouted. You had tried to calm him down a little but why should you. You were just as annoyed by these changes. What had you even more infuriated was that all the moves he had changed, you had made up.

‘Lets face it guys the dance was pretty flawed’ he said in a calm understanding voice, ‘I’d been thinking about changing it and Min Hee had some excellent ideas to make it better’. Min Hee stood there looking proud of herself while everyone else just rolled their eyes. You couldn’t even believe what he had just said. In a matter of seconds Jay had made you feel like the test dancer in the world. Your eyes started to fill up from the harsh comment he had indirectly made towards you. Even if he didn’t mean to aim it at you it was still upsetting that he had said that after changing everything YOU made up. You tried to hide your face. It would be so embarrassing to cry here. In front of Jay, especially when he didn’t know how you felt about him. Bae had noticed that you were upset and suggested that everyone should take a break. You got up and walked out of the studio and climbed up two flights of stairs so no one could see you cry. You hadn’t realized Bae had followed you until you sat down on one of the steps. He wrapped one arm around you and rested your head on his shoulder.

‘What’s wrong _________?’ He asked you with a sympathetic voice. You wiped some of your tears away and sniffed up.

‘Can you not tell?’ You replied with a slight laugh. Bae smiled and his grip tightened slightly.

‘You’re not the only one that’s pissed. I think everyone is. Were not prepared for such drastic changes. Especially since its only 2 weeks until the show, but I don’t think your upset about the show, right?’ He questioned. You nodded slightly.

‘You know me too well Bae’ You smiled.

‘He had no right to change all your parts or change your place in the formation. He can’t just bring this new girl onto the scene and let her take over everything. He must have made you feel terrible considering how you feel about him’ He said. Just as you thought, he knew about your feelings for Jay. You really couldn’t hide anything from this guy.

‘Hmm pretty much. I just don’t know what to do about anything. I mean I can’t just tell him to get rid of her. What will he think of me then? He probably likes her doesn’t he that’s why he cant say no to her. I mean why wouldn’t he like her I mean she’s beautiful. I’m nothing compared to her. Jay wouldn’t even look twice at me if he had a chance with her’ You spoke, fresh tears rolling down your face. Bae grabbed your face in his hands and forced you to look at him.

‘___________ don’t you ever say anything like that ever again. You are the most beautiful girl I know. You don’t need heavy make up and short skirts to make you beautiful your perfect just the way you are. Min Hee on the other hand well need I say more’ He smiled brightly at you. You couldn’t help but smile at his words. You hugged him tightly.

‘Thanks Bae you always know how to make me feel better’ You laughed.

‘Well you know me I am pretty good aren’t I’ He said proudly. You couldn’t help but chuckle at his cheesy-ness. You lightly hit his chest.

‘Don’t get ahead of yourself Bae’ You chuckled. You carried on talking to him about random things laughing and joking taking your mind off things. What you didn’t know though was that Min Hee had been eavesdropping on your conversation.

‘So __________ you like Jay do you. Well I’ll make sure he never takes his eyes off me’ She whispered quietly to herself. She span around on her heels and walked off with that same smug look on her face.

When the break was over you all went back to the practice room to try and clear things up. You decided to make the most of the time you had with the guys so you just focused on learning the new moves. As you walked over to your bag you looked in the mirror and noticed your eyes were still a bit red. Hopefully no one would notice. As you got up Jay stared at you with a weird expression before shrugging his shoulders. You quickly looked away hoping he wouldn’t ask you why your eyes were red.  Bae gave you a thumbs up, which made you smile. He really was the best person ever.

After an hour everyone was on the floor. Breathing irregularly. None of you had got the dance down yet and the irritation was starting to show in everyone. Min Hee patted her face with a towel and started talking unnecessarily loud to Jay.

‘I thought you said these were the best dancers you knew’ She giggled and touched his thigh. You scoffed and looked away. Was there really any need for the contact? She smirked and looked at you. Jay laughed lightly and stood up sliding her hand off of his leg.

‘Alright guys I think that’s enough for today we’ll carry on, on Thursday’ He said. You looked at your watch confused. It was only 6:30. You’d only been here for 2 and a half hours. You were about to question when he spoke again.

‘I think we all need to go home and clear our heads and start fresh after a day off’. Everyone nodded in agreement and got their stuff together. Jay tapped you on the shoulder and asked if he could speak to you after everyone had left. You hesitated slightly but nodded anyway.

You stood there awkwardly while the room emptied and once everyone had left Jay spoke up.

‘Erm ___________ is everything okay. You looked pretty upset before when you came back in’ You froze. What could your excuse be?

‘Oh erm its my erm hay fever’ you replied. Jay looked at you unconvinced. He had a worried expression.

‘You know if there’s anything you need to talk about I’m always here’ He said reassuringly. You looked up at him. Oh Jay I would love to tell you. I’d love to shout from the rooftops, I love you. You thought. You smiled at him.

‘I’m fine Jay seriously but thanks for the offer I’ll have you in mind if I ever need to talk to anyone’ He smiled back and hugged you for the 2^nd time today. Oh how you wish you could do this all the time. Just have him hold you in his arms, to tell you every thing’s going to be alright, to kiss you and to make you feel safe. You closed your eyes and slowly reopened them. You wish you hadn’t. Min Hee was stood at the door.

‘Oh Jay I didn’t mean to interrupt. It’s just that I live quite far and its raining and I don’t have an umbrella. Could you give me a ride home?’ She said in a sickly sweet voice. You could have sworn you heard Jay whisper for sake under his breath but maybe that’s just what you wanted to hear. You couldn’t be sure. He nodded before turning to you.

‘Do you need a ride home too?’ He asked. You saw Min Hee’s face drop and a smile crept its way onto your face. As much as it would have saved you from getting wet you don’t think you could sit in the same car as Min Hee for a whole journey so just like the first time he asked, you declined.

All 3 of you walked out of the building and you said your goodbyes to Jay. You didn’t even look at Min Hee. You pulled the hood of your jumper over your head and walked in the direction of your home. You sighed. What a day…
