It was Monday and like every Monday our girls were performing at ‘The Chaser’. IU was more than excited today – for some odd reason she liked the idea of having a secret admirer – so she looked all over the audience trying to see who could be her secret admirer however that was helpless, she was completely clueless.

As for Song Ji Eun things worked the other way around. She was, too, very excited because she had, also, someone she was interested in watching her today however, and unlike IU, Ji Eun knew him too well in fact. Bang Yong Guk sat right in the back with his buddy Owl, both appreciating the show. Ji Eun’s eyes met Yong Guk’s for a fraction of second but it was enough for him to crack a shy smile. If it wasn’t because of his smile they might have never talked…

             It was a March when they first met. Ji Eun had gone to the cemetery to visit her deceased uncle who she cherished the most – even, I can say now, more than her father. He died two years before in a car accident, trying to save her father’s life and since he had always been such a great support to her she could never feel fulfil again.

Ji Eun looked at her uncle’s stone and smiled. While she took the dead flowers she had left the previous time she had been there, Ji Eun smiled at the grave time after time, cleaning the letters of the stone and placing the cup of soju and all. She spent one hour there and then bowed, retreating with a heavy sorrow in her heart – she missed him badly.

             Suddenly she heard someone laugh so she looked to her side; a blonde and muscled guy was on his knees in front of a grave. He laughed out loud and happily to the grave and – for what Ji Eun could see – talked with the grave. Better saying - with the person who was in the grave. Ji Eun stepped soundlessly and hid, kept watching him.

             “What Halmeoni? Of course I’m still popular with girls. I’m still your grandson after all, right?” Ji Eun chuckled slightly upon hearing that but kept on listening. “Halmeoni, I know you asked me to be strong but how can I when I don’t have anyone by my side, to help me? You were the only sane thing I had in my life and now…” Ji Eun heard some sniff that made her walk closer to him – she wanted to make sure he was not crying for some (yet) unknown reason. However another loud laugh made her stop and go back to her hiding behind the big three. “I’ll be going, ne? I’ll be back next month Halmeoni. Don’t cry, time flies; we’ll see each other in a short while...” He bowed and got up – Ji Eun gasp of how tall and large he was (meaning: y as hell) – ready to go, but then he stop and looked over the shoulder. He saw Ji Eun hiding behind the tree and went there, making her gulp. Eotteokhe? “Who are you?”

             “I’m…” Ji Eun saw that his face was still wet and there were some remaining tears inside his eyes. Involuntarily her hand reached out cleaning his face. “You were really crying weren’t you?”

             “For how long are you standing there?” Something, there was something in his eyes. Dark, cold… loneliness; the same loneliness she felt every night, the same emptiness, the same sorrowful desire of feel anything. She leaned closer to him, closed her eyes and let their lips touch. Yong Guk didn’t move one bit, letting his own eyes close instead. They felt everything in that moment, for the first time in a long time.

             “I can be here as long as you want me to...” She stepped lightly away and Bang Yong Guk cracked a shy smile gazing deeply into her eyes both knowing they were fated.

Destiny behaves like a kid: he loves to play. He absolutely adores building roads tangled with simple lives, creating a complicated story…

Through Suffering they’ll know the right path, he says…However, bear with the pain isn’t easy, the one’s suffering protest.  Only if they knew….What if they knew? Would they change anything? Any single thing?
