The next day Jongin still found himself at the uncomfortable room. The hospital isn’t somewhere you want to spend your days at. It kind of brings this scary and lonely feeling. And he absolutely didn’t want to stay there much longer. Good thing we’ll leave first thing tomorrow. He stared at the ceiling while thinking of what damage he had done to delay their album promotions and live performances. Suho definitely won’t let him go that easily. Of course he had to be punished for his hard-headed behavior. 

 Then he remembered why he was so stubborn for not wanting to go to the hospital; Well, he was more likely scared. The memories that happened there were unforgettable. It was truly terrifying and all he can do is stare blankly at his father’s cold and unmoving body. He can’t sum up the tears that wanted to fall. He knew that he needed to be tough in order to protect his mother and sister even though he was just 8 years old. So he grew up with only knowing how to protect and look after the people around him but not knowing how great the feeling of being cared for. Well, that was before he met Kyungsoo. He mentally chuckled at the sudden thought.

Right, it was because of Kyungsoo that made him know what it feels like to be cared for. He really didn’t like Kyungsoo at first. Kai would always glare at him every time they would bump into each other. He would always question why such a tiny and unspoken person was going to debut with them… with him. Kyungsoo was the kind of person that would always give people attention even though they didn’t ask for it. Kai would usually find himself annoyed by such act but he didn’t know why Kyungsoo was an exception.

 Kai soon soften up to him because of his kind and considerate personality. He unexpectedly found himself wanting the singer’s attention more and more. Kai would always annoy Kyungsoo whenever he was busy doing something with the other members.

Then Kai knew it. He didn’t want Kyungsoo’s attention, not his trust, nor his loyalty. Not just that. It just wasn’t enough.

He knew from that day on that he loved Kyungsoo. Do Kyungsoo.

Meanwhile, Kyungsoo silently woke up and quickly looked over to the patient. Kyungsoo saw him wide awake and was practically thinking of something complicated. Knowing that the younger boy was unaware of his surroundings, he quietly crept up near Kai’s bed. “Kim Jongin!” he shouted and stood up but unluckily earned a girlish yelp and a smack at the face from the charismatic dancer.

“Yah! That hurted you know!” Kyungsoo hissed in pain as he rubbed his nose.

Kai slowly sat up as he cupped his hands at D.O.’s face. “Mianhae, Hyung. It was your fault for surprising me.”  He uttered as he looked up to Kyungsoo with a pleasant stare.

Kyungsoo couldn’t help but blush at his dongsaeng’s actions. He swiftly stepped backward and went to the bathroom to wash up. “Jongin-ah, w-what do you want to have for breakfast?” He casually asked trying to stop his stutter.

“Uhm.. Anything’s fine, Hyu—“  

Little did they know that the Maknae woke up by the sounds of their loud voices a few seconds ago. “Baekhyun hyung and Chanyeol hyung said that they were gonna buy us our breakfast today.” As Sehun spoke up still checking on his phone.

“Sehun-ah, what time are they exactly coming here?” Kyungsoo exited the bathroom while wiping his face with a towel.

Kai couldn’t help but stare at the angelic figure that was probably in front of him. He was all he wanted and nothing more. But the thought of his Kyungsoo, looking forward to seeing someone else was just like… hell to him. Yet, it never did stop him from getting what he wanted.

“I don’t know. He just texted me a while ago and—“

“Good morning everyone!” Chanyeol yelled as he barged to the room. He was followed by a shorter, paler, and much more anticipated Baekhyun that was holding up plastic bags.

“We brought breakfast!” Baekhyun widely smiled.

 Kai couldn’t help but glance at Kyungsoo’s direction. His heart sank as he saw Kyungsoo with a wonderful smile on his face, directly looking at no other than Byun Baekhyun. He felt angry and at the same time down-hearted. 

Don’t you know how much I want to make you smile like that?

I’ve been trying for years.. but all you see is him.

Just for once.. Please look at me and only me.

Absolute: Yehey for the people who guessed it was Baekhyun!! *claps

Awesome: We shipped BaekSoo before they even debuted.

Absolute: Yes yes. And plus, they were so cute.

Awesome: But now, we are rooting for BaekYeol.

Absolute: And we swore that we'll go down with this ship until the end of tiiiiime~

Awesome:*looks at Absolute. Uhh.. Yeah.. * whispers I think she's gone crazy..

Absolute: I heard that.

Awesome: Haha... *sweat drops.. Uhh.. Anyway..
