Seventy Seven: Key
Lost You
I was bound to the ceiling, chained by my hands and feet.
The doctor hadn’t done anything to me yet, just left me there, my arms, shoulder and torso aching from the strain my posture was putting on my muscles.
He’d been writing in his journal this whole time-after hanging me up here-and every minute that passed only served to make me more nervous. I open my mouth to speak when the door opens and one of the Yakuza enters speaking,
“The virus is-”
“Bring it up along with the syringe,” he responds, not looking up from his writing. The man leaves as I register his words, a new feeling of anxiousness blooming in my stomach,
“V-virus?”
He looks up at me as if suddenly remembering that I was there, but showing no surprise on his face,
“Don’t worry, I’ll give it to you in a few moments.”
He’ll have to let me down to give it right? I hope so...I was getting light headed from my head hanging low, and the eight only made my stomach feel worse.
“How much longer will I be stuck up he-” the doors opened again, and the same man enters, slightly out of breath though it seemed,
“There’s been a breach-we-we need you now.”
The doctor’s head turns to face him coldly, and he sighs as he sets his pen down and follows the other out quickly.
I stare at the door.
A breach? Wait! I’m stuck here?! Like this?
I hear the scraping of metal across the floor, and turn my neck to try to see who was there, but I couldn’t turn far enough, and then suddenly my legs fall down, causing me to hang only by my arms
“Yah-” I shout as pain blows through my arms, and down my shoulders, but a hand shoots out and covers my mouth and I swear I felt my heart explode from the shock as I turned to face the man.
And Shock hit me hard.
“Lee Joon?” I spoke though the words came muffled until he removed his hand.
“Shh, the police have this place surrounded,” he released my right hand and holds it s he releases the other so I don’t fall to my death below.
“How’d you get the keys to-”
“T.O.P gave them to me when I called-”
T.O.P...? No way..
“Called?” I ask.
“Shutup, I’ll explain later, come on.”
We both climb down the step ladder-the same one the doctor had used to get me up here and he led me out the door.
