Lost You
I hang up on the call, and Taemin enters as soon as I do making me wonder if he was listening in on my conversation.
“What did manager-sshi say hyung?” he asks, jumping onto my bed.
“He said he’ll arrange our travel, we’ll be in Paris in three days,” I speak.
“And the money?”
“He said that he’ll give us some, but not all, we’ll need to use up some of the money we have saved. If we all pool it together, I think we should have enough.”
He nods his head and I smile,
“Where’s Jonghyun and Minho?”
“Minho hyung went out to play soccer, and Jonghyun hyung went after him.”
I nod, staring at the phone in my hand, as long as they were together, nothing could go wrong.
“Hyung?” Taemin’s voice drags me from my thoughts.
“Yeah?” I sit down next to him, putting the phone on my nightstand.
He doesn’t speak, and I look over at him to see he’s crying silently, clear crystal drops falling off his skin and onto the pillow he held tightly.
“Oh, Taeminnie, hey, it’s alright,” I pull him into a hug, “Everything will be better soon.”
He nods his head again, but the crying doesn’t stop, and unsure of what else to say, I just let him stay like that, his head against my chest, waiting for him to be done.
After a while I hear him mumble,
“I’m tired.”
I laugh lightly, “Then go to sleep,” I poke his shoulder.
He doesn’t respond and I see his eyes are already closed.
I set him down, putting the pillow under his head and the blanket over him.
“Night Taeminnie,” I move to the other bed in the room, glancing at the clock, it was nearly eight, and it was getting dark outside.
I glanced at my phone on the table.
They’d be fine...but maybe I should call.
I get up and pick up the phone,
“Hey, hyung, can you make dinner? I’d rather eat your cooking than Jonghyun hyung’s.” Taemin m
