Luhan lay in bed, tossing and turning as he tried to find a comfortable position. But it was no use. His mind was racing, and his body was on fire. Baekhyun hadn't come to check on him yet, and he couldn't help but feel a little abandoned. He hadn't really slept the last few nights either, and he was starting to feel the effects of it.

 

He sat up in bed, his eyes scanning the room. He was so bored he was actually considering reading a book. This wasn't fair. Baekhyun had no right to send him to bed early like a child. He needed to get out of this room, to clear his head and find some peace.

 

He got up and walked to the bathroom, picking up the book that was on the counter. As he flipped through the pages, he realized that he couldn't focus on the words. His mind was too preoccupied with other things.

 

He walked out of the bathroom and to the slider. The slider opened to a wrap-around porch that included a set of stairs that led to the ground floor. Baekhyun wouldn't even notice he was gone. Would he?

 

His boredom got the best of him, and he slid open the slider door. The air was cool and crisp against his skin, and he felt a sense of relief wash over him. He made his way to the stairs and down the steps, trying to make the least amount of noise possible. The wooden steps were rough against his bare feet, and despite his efforts, the steps creaked as he descended.

 

There was a greenhouse on the west end of the land, and he made his way over to it. He loved looking at all the different plants and checking their progress. After a good little stroll around the greenhouse, he exited through the door he came in. Now he could sleep in peace, hopefully.

 

He snuck back up the stairs to the porch, his heart racing as he opened the slider. It was pitch black in his room, meaning he couldn't see much. As he slowly closed the door behind him, he was startled by a loud throat clearing.

 

‘Oh !’ he thought, his heart pounding in his chest.

 

Slowly, he turned around to find a furious Baekhyun who had just flicked on the light. Baek just stared at him, making Luhan incredibly uncomfortable. Like a frightened deer in headlights, he just stared back, unsure of what to say or do.

 

Luhan stood before Baekhyun, his heart pounding in his chest. He had been caught sneaking out of bed, and now he was facing the consequences. He stuttered out an apology, but Baekhyun's cold tone made it clear that it wasn't enough.

 

"No, go on. I want to hear your excuse, Luhan," Baekhyun said, his eyes narrowing.

 

Luhan swallowed hard, trying to think of something to say. "U-Um, I couldn't sleep," he finally managed. "The walk calmed me. I swear I'll go to bed now."

 

Baekhyun didn't look convinced. "So you say," he said, his voice dripping with skepticism.

 

Luhan's mind raced as he tried to come up with a way to convince Baekhyun that he was telling the truth. But before he could say anything else, Baekhyun spoke again.

 

"What did I tell you would happen if I caught you out of bed without permission?" he asked calmly.

Luhan's heart was racing as he stood before Baekhyun, his eyes downcast and his body trembling with fear. He had made a mistake, a big one, and now he was paying the price.

 

"I-I do-don't know..." he stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.

 

"Oh, I'm sure you remember quite well Luhan," Baekhyun replied, his voice cold and stern.

 

Luhan's heart sank as he realized that Baekhyun knew exactly what he had done. He had disobeyed the rules, and now he was going to pay for it.

 

"U-Uhm, that you would p-put me over your kn-knee... Please don't, sir. I-I'm sorry..." he pleaded, his voice shaking with fear.

 

"If you behave like a child, I will treat you like one. Now, you better go find yourself a corner to think about what you've done," Baekhyun said, his voice firm and unyielding.

 

Luhan obeyed, his tears streaming down his face as he stood in the corner, his mind racing with thoughts of what was to come.

 

"Time is up, come here Luhan," Baekhyun said, his voice commanding.

 

Shaking, Luhan walked over to him, his eyes still downcast and his body trembling with fear.
