700 years before 

A man in his early 20s was crossing a field after a long walk through a forest and the climb of a mountain.

His group of 20 soldiers had no energy to do anything after they were defeated by the enemy in a bloody battle that continued for the last 3 winters.

An older male suddenly shouted and ran:

__ HIDE! PROTECT YOURSELVES! HULI JING!

Two other soldiers looked to the south and saw two monsters growling while stacking each other.

__ Run for your life! Demons! The nine tails!

The handsome and powerful leader followed the direction that was pointed and widened his eyes.

__ Are you all hallucinating? There is a lady in danger over there. Let's save her.

__ General, you are under the spell. I'm sorry but I want to live.__ His right arm shook his head with sorrow and ran in the opposite direction.

Not having time to worry about his team's dispersion, the young man grabbed his sword and ran toward the abysmal monster that was about to tear the mysterious and alluring female.

__ Get out of the way, please!__ The male shouted before attacking the creature at the moment its claws were about to trespass the brunette.

All of a sudden, the gorgeous woman was holding him and placing his body on the ground.

__ What's your name, boy?__ Her voice was warm like the sun.

With difficulty to breathe, the young general murmured before gasping:

__ Yichén.

The dark-haired female widened her eyes but then, asked a second question:

__ Why did you do that? Why did you throw yourself in front of me?

__ It was a decent thing to do. You were about to be killed by a monster.__ The soldier choked in his own blood.

__ Thank you, Yichén. You don't have to worry anymore. You saved me. And you're gonna be fine too.__ The mysterious female declared while placing his head on her lap and pressing the wound on his stomach.

__ Although you are as warm as the sun, I feel cold. I know I'm dying.__ The young man whispered.

__ I'll take care of you, Yichén. You're going to be ok.

The soldier fainted and the brunette leaned to blow vital energy into his mouth.
