How did you become a trainee? Miju got discovered by a talent scout from YG while she was dancing in the streets with her friends. She had to go through an audition first. She almost didn`t get in, but through her perseverance, she eventually became a trainee.

History: Miju was born in Tokyo, Japan. She has a Japanese mom and a Korean dad. She also has a twin brother named Minho (not any of the famous ones). Her whole family moved to Seoul, Korea when she was seven years old. She started dancing when she was still in Japan. Her first encounter with dance was when she was forced to dance in a family gathering together with her cousins. Her mom saw talent in her and enrolled her in a dance class a few months before they moved to Korea. When they got to Korea, she paused dancing for a few years. She started again at age 12. She gained interest in music and art because of some mandatory activities and classes in school. Unlike the other kids, she continued on with them even outside of school through self learning. Miju began trainee life at age 14.

How did you become a trainee? Maiya danced as a kid but she didn't get any real lessons until a friend convinced her to go in her first year of high school. After someone commented on her singing after Karaoke, she decided to audition for JYP in the US in her third year. They said she needed some extra vocal training, but because she followed choreography really well, they accepted her on condition that her vocals improved. She has a nice voice, but her vocal range still needs some work.

History: Maiya was born and raised in New York. She lives with her parents, a younger brother and her grandma. Her parents really didn't like the idea of her dancing, and she usually hid it by telling them she was going to the library, when in actuality she was either dancing to music with friends or taking dance lessons. Although her parents don't like that she likes to dance, her grandma hates it.
