EXO was the first K-pop boy band I fell in love with. One fine day, while I was watching TVN, 12 years old me found EXO, MaMa was playing on TV. What's more, to say, I fell in love with them. Later, I became an obsessed and proud fan of EXO.
Kai was my bias but later, it changed to Luhan and he still is even after his leave or I became an adult. Chen, Beakhyun, and D.O were my cheat lanes. But I love all of the boys.
To begin with, EXO and Kpop have been a part of my happy childhood. They were there for me when no one was there. I was happy in my little world.
Soon, EXO will be celebrating its 10th anniversary and I am very proud of them. All of the twelve members. This book was written when I was 14, in the Growl era. Call me old-fashioned, but my all-time favorite album would be XoXo. Gosh, I love all of the songs from that album, especially, Peter Pan. This book was my first step to writing as well, sadly it never became a book because at 14 years old, I was too lazy to write a book and I was struggling with English since it is not my first language.
Growing up, I became distant from K-pop and loved rock music instead. Maybe it was only because my teenage rebellious side was showing. I became a big fan of 5SOS and other western artists.
I am writing this as a tribute to my teen years as well as EXO. I will be 21 in a few months and Covid-19 had really got me reminiscing the old times. So, I've decided to give it a try, to rewrite my story which never makes it to a book.
