Two-Way

Dara doesn’t know when she started getting butterflies in her stomach when she sees Seung hyun. Only that they were there when he’s within sight. Just like now.

He was sitting across her, his beautiful lonely-looking fingers twined together idly on his lap. There was glass wall between them, and she couldn’t help but look at him and pretend not to be looking whenever he seems to notice. Her butterflies go rampant in her stomach, up her chest when they have a nano-second eye-contact.

The next time she tried peaking at his direction, he was gone. A shift on her seat cushion announces an intruder. Her butterflies were now up .

“Noona, why do you keep looking at me? It’s making me self-conscious.”

“Ah. Sorry, Seung hyun-shii.” She says to him, her eyes averted. She hears him sigh, and stands up and head for the door. Her butterflies leap from to her lips in a quiet, “It’s because I like you.”

He doesn’t look back, but his ears grew noticeably redder.

“Well, noona…” he begins, “I…  I’m happy that glass is two-way.”
