He was running late. He had already sent a text to Eunji saying he would be late. She had replied back saying that it's all right and she would be waiting.

And that was an hour ago.

The photo-shoot he had scheduled today took longer than he anticipated. It was already turning dark outside. He was looking forward to seeing her today as it had been a while since they were both in the same town. Video calls were nice and all that, but they couldn’t replace meeting the other person in flesh. And nothing could replace seeing her smile in flesh

Just the thought of seeing Eunji made him giddy, and he found himself smiling like an idiot

He made a call to Eunji just to make sure she was till there and hadn't gone home after being fed up of waiting.

"Hello?" A deep voice that definitely didn’t belong to Eunji picked up the phone. The voice that belonged to the last person that he wanted near Eunji. The voice that wiped out the smile from his face.

He knew that the day would come when he had to face it, but hadn’t realized how soon it would come.   But he wasn't ready. He didn’t think he would ever be ready for this.

Not mentally. Or physically.

Suho collapsed on to the chair beside him as the energy drained from his body.

"Hello? Are you still there?" the voice still was calling for him from the other side

"Yes?" Suho somehow mustered the energy to respond

"Jung Eunji sshi fell asleep in the bistro. If you are someone close, can you come pick her up?" the voice asked

"Okay, I'll be there." He replied and put the phone in his pocket

He didn’t want the other guy to be with Eunji for even a second longer than necessary. Quickly gathering his belongings, he dashed out of the building.

The taxi ride should not have taken more than fifteen minutes, but it felt like forever.

His mind wandered to places, and it brought back the memories of when he started hanging out with Eunji.

He was acquainted with Eunji from the time they dubbed the animation 'Saving Santa' together. But he wouldn’t really call themselves as friends back then. It was only when he started hanging out with Bada noona's gang that he really got to know her better. The Eunji he knew from Saving Santa was totally different from the one he hung out with.
