Cry Out With My Heart and Soul
Su-Yun and Ju-Hyun sang at the top of their lungs as they drove down the road. As far as the headlights could see, no one was there but the two of them.
“Su-Yun, look out!” Too late, she rear-ended the car in front of her, stopped in the middle of the lane. Su-Yun cried out in pain as she felt the impact move through her body.
Finally, when all was still, Ju-Hyun said, “And this is why we don’t drive at night.” The two looked at each other, breathing heavily.
They sat there in the car, waiting for their hearts to slow. “We should go see if the driver ahead of us is okay,” Su-Yun said, taking a deep breath. Ju-Hyun nodded and the two stepped into the road just as a truck collided with the front of the red car.
“Oh God! Is he okay?!” The two dragged the driver out and found him unconscious. The other driver unsteadily left his truck. “Drunk bastard.”
“Is he breathing?” Ju- Hyun asked. Su-Yun pressed two fingers to his pulse, then let out a sigh of relief as she nodded.
“Go through his phone to see who we should call” Jo-Hyun grabbed his phone just as someone started calling him.
“Ah, hello?”
“Who is this?”
“Jo-Hyun. Who is this?”
“Yesung. Is Ryeowook there?”
“Does he drive a red convertible?”
“…Yes. Why?”
“Oh, so Ryeowook is his name.”
“I’m sorry, I don’t follow.”
“Well, we sort of rear-ended him. Then some drunken guy slammed into him head-on. The poor guy is knocked out, now. He’s bleeding a lot too.”
“Where are you?”
“Don’t fret. Su-Yun is talking to 119 right now. I’ll call you again when we get to the hospital.”
Yesung sighed. “Okay.” They hung up.
“The police and ambulance are on their way. Why are you smiling?!” Su-Yun said.
“Yesung sounds hot.” Su-Yun rolled her eyes and slapped Jo-Hyun’s leg from her spot on the ground.
“Be serious for once.”
