When I woke up, my head was throbbing. Henry was there holding my hand with Eunhyuk standing behind him. At the edge of the room stood Yesung and two girls I didn’t know.

“You there,” I pointed to the girls. “Who are you?”

“I’m Su-Yun, and this is Jo-Hyun. We rear-ended you.”

Jo-Hyun stepped in, then. “Then some drunk ran into you head-on. He’s in the room next to you.”

Dr. Choi stepped in, then, and Jo-Hyun nearly feinted at the sight of him. “Alright, folks, let’ give him some space.”

Everyone filed out except for Henry and Yesung. “How are you feeling, Ryeowook?” I just looked at him. “Can I ask you two gentlemen to leave for just a moment?” Henry nodded and he and Yesung joined the others in the hallway.

“How are you?” Dr. Choi sat in Henry’s spot.

“My head hurts.”

“That’s understandable. Any place else hurt?”

“My legs…”

He nodded, like he was expecting this. “You broke both of your legs in the crash. Other than that and your head, though, you seemed to have only gotten minor cuts and bruises. We were very shocked to see you hadn’t suffered from any brain-damage, either. You’re very lucky, Ryeowook.” I nodded thoughtfully. “So… how are you?”

“What do you mean? I thought I just answered that question, Dr. Choi.”

“For now, at least, call me Siwon. Last time I saw you, you were crying. Why is that?”

“Well… see…” I lowered my voice. “I kind of love someone who doesn’t love me back.” Siwon nodded. “On another note, how long will I have to be here?”

“Oh, six or seven weeks depending on how fast you recover. Are you ready to bring everyone back in?” I nodded, and Siwon opened the door to let everyone in.

“Are you feeling okay?” Henry sat and took my hand again, looking genuinely concerned for my well-being. I smiled at him as I was reminded of why I fell in love with him in the first place. He reached forward and kissed my cheek like he used to before he turned crazy with jealousy.

Yesung cleared his throat. “So, how long are you going to be here?”

“Six or even weeks depending on how I’m doing.”

“Ryeowook, we’re so sorry about what happened.” Su-Yun said.

“Don’t worry about it. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe it was meant for u to meet and become friends.” I smiled just as the trio walked in and Jessica wrapped her arm around Yesung’s middle. Eunhyuk, Sunny, and Tiffany gave me a concerned glance.

“So Yesung, I hear you and Jessica are going out?” I asked.

“Uh… uh-huh.” I nodded thoughtfully.

The six weeks went by fairly quickly, with various people coming every day. The second to last day I was in the hospital, Yesung came in to talk to me. he told me he broke up with Jess because he was in love with someone else.

“Who?” I asked eagerly.

Yesung blushed. “Just… someone.”

“Tell me!! Do I know them?”

“Yeah… You actually know him pretty well.”

“Is it… is it Eunhyuk?”

“No, but you’re close.”

My voice was barely a whisper. “Is it…me?”
