He didn't want to be here. Sure, he wanted to get to know people, step out of his comfort zone a bit, but that was it. He never planned to dance in front of everyone nor did he plan to stay this late. Most people had already began drinking alcohol; his best friend sporting a full cup of beer beside him.

"I'll take your group picture." Their class's wanna-be-photographer offered, gesturing towards their general direction.

He exchanged glances with him, sending them a small smile and gesturing for his group to go ahead first. He gestured for him to go ahead instead. "We can have the picture together."

He blushed, shaking his head slowly. His friends inched away from them, except for their common friend. 

That night, he thought of that moment, replaying how it could have progressed into something more.
