Jinki woke up with the sun in his eyes faintly. Thank god for the curtains he had to block the sun. "mm.." stretching a little he sat up, realizing the covers were on him and looked around for Kibum after remembering what happened last night. "Kibum? " he called a quietly, but no response. Getting up, he took a quick shower and put on boxers and a grey v-neck, then he went down the hall and into the kitchen, seeing Kibum cooking breakfast while wearing some of Jinki's over-sized pajamas. Jinki smiled softly as he watched him cook, looking as if he didn't have a care in the world. He looked so happy when he was cooking and Jinki liked the sight of that. It almost felt like he was watching his new wife cook in the kitchen. "You seem like you're having fun." Jinki said finally, walking into the kitchen. Kibum dropped one of the eggs on the floor and then turned to face Jinki. "Ya... you scared me..." kibum replied, turning a bright shade of red. Jinki laughed and then cleaned up the egg that kibum dropped and looked at all the food he had made. "Wow, do you normally cook food in the mornings?" He asked, giving the younger a quick kiss on the cheek. "Yes I do~~ I'm really a breakfast and coffee type person." He replied and smiled brightly, then proceeded to finish cooking the scrambled eggs. Jinki kind of felt bad he didn't have much food for Kibum to actually make since he actually was gone all the time and his Ex wasn't really much of a cook. Kibum had made Kimchi, Scrambled eggs and toast and attempted to make a good amount of Banchan (Side dishes) featuring rice, a little seaweed, and a small amount of soup. Jinki sat at the table and sighed as he watched him lovingly, watching him cook. "You woke up late~" Kibum said as he prepared the banchan. "Well, yeah I've never gotten sleep like that. I think it's because of how good you were last night.~" Jinki said and winked at him. Kibum smiled to himself and brought the food over to Jinki on a tray and took his own seat at the table. "You were better, you were a natural. Are you sure you haven't had before?" He asked and took a sip of coffee. "I'm positive." Jinki responded and took a spoon to start eating his rice first. Kibum watched him eat for a minute and started to eat as well. The older was eating in such big quantities as if the food was gonna leave him sometime soon."Hey, slow down there, it's not going anywhere." Kibum assured him and slightly giggled. "Besides, I used most of the food you had in there. Such a pity you have a huge nice home with no food.... at least you could have someone cook for you. " He went on, then started to eat his Kimchi. Jinki stopped eating as fast and slightly agreed with him, but it was hard when you haven't had a homecooked meal in a long time. "Is it good though?" Kibum asked, eating some of his eggs. "Very. I missed this kind of cooking, thank you Kibum." He replied with a smile and took a drink of water. "Eating together like this almost makes us feel like we're married." Kibum joked and smiled really big. Jinki almost choked on his food. Married??? He couldn't even bear to hear that word at the moment, especially with what was going on! Had Kibum lost his mind? Jinki gathered his breath back just to see a worried look from Kibum. "Are you okay?... I told you not to eat so fast, geez..." he said, sighing a little bit and easing his worry when he saw that Jinki was okay. taking a sip of water, Jinki cleared his throat. "Yeah, I didn't chew properly..." He replied, taking a long drink of water, he really did need it. "I should cook for you more often, you have such a nicely built body, but god, you don't eat... even if I have to bring you food before I go to work; I'll make sure you eat, honey." Kibum told him, with a little bit of strictness in his voice. Jinki started to blush. He wasn't really used to being called honey or any type of pet name and he thought it was very cute. "Okay...baby!" Jinki replied in his best English, giving kibum a very bright smile and pointing a finger gun at him. the younger laughed at the gesture, slightly spitting out his coffee. "Your..Your English is so cute!" He said in between laughs. The way Kibum laughed definitely made him smile and chuckle a little bit. The sides of his eyes would crinkle and his laughter was so loud and full of joy, it was almost contagious. Jinki started to wrap some seaweed around his Kimchi and eat it as he watched Kibum recover from laughing. "You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, you know that, right? " Kibum said happily, finishing up his rice and eggs. Jinki was quiet, just staring at him and chewing his food. He wasn't a disappointment to him? 'Does Kibum really think so highly of me?.. you have no idea what i'm like...' Jinki thought to himself. "If you never would have handed me my wallet in the cafe or just even looked at me, I probably would be still living my same boring life, you know? I just... You made my life colorful instead of black and white... " Kibum went on. Jinki felt a little bad to be keeping secrets from him, and it came out like word vomit. "I was married, you know." Before he realized it, he saw Kibum's face change. Kibum felt like throwing up his entire breakfast. Had he been messing around with a married man the entire time? "Wait... you're married?" Kibum asked, sounding a little hurt and a little embarrassed he told him how he felt just to have the bomb dropped on him like this. "No. I was. I'm in the process of a divorce now..." Jinki replied, not looking at Kibum so he wouldn't have to feel the guilt. Kibum didn't know what to think. He did hear about it on the news once, that he got married, but other news reports said it was fake... "Why didn't you just... tell me before...is it because you still love her?" Kibum said quietly, biting his lip so he wouldn't cry about something so pathetic. " No! I swear, it isn't like that, I never loved her-" Jinki started but realized he probably shouldn't have said that. "Okay, so you just marry people even though you don't love them???" Kibum replied, standing up from the table. It was starting to fall apart and Jinki wanted to fix it, he didn't want what he feared to happen to actually start happening. he stood up too and hugged Kibum tightly even though he tried resisting. "No Kibum, just hear me out. We both didn't love each other, okay? She was high in power and so was I and we just kept meeting up and eventually we dated and within a couple of months maybe, we got married just based off of infatuation, not actual love...Not the same as you and I have." Jinki said softly, trying to get him to calm down. Kibum really felt stupid now. "Is there even a You and I?" he asked, making Jinki let go of him. "Of course there is! you taught me to love again... " he replied, looking Kibum dead in the eyes, which were almost full of tears. "Then why didn't you trust me enough to tell me you were going through a divorce, I would've understood...I mean I could see why you like girls like Mina...she's successful...your type...and very beautiful..." Kibum went on, sighing a little bit and looking down so he wouldn't cry. Jinki was starting to lose his temper because Kibum wouldn't hear him out. If only he would just listen. "That's the thing with you lower class people, you always let your emotions get the better of you because you can't afford to lose anything else." Jinki replied, seeing Kibum break completely. 'Stop it Lee Jinki. You're hurting him. STOP.' He thought to himself, but his anger was getting the best of him. "When you're in power and you have money, what are feelings?? They're nothing but a little speck that stands in the way of success! They are nothing." Jinki ranted with no remorse. Kibum was on the verge of sobbing, he couldn't believe it was all about money and power to him... was this really just nothing to him? Was he really Low-class to him? "J-Jinki I ... but...we..." Kibum started to say but was interrupted by Jinki. "All of it was experiments. I'm better off alone." Jinki continued and the words slapped Kibum in the face. "I was nothing ...but a plaything to you...? you told me you loved me...Was this all just a game??" Kibum asked, bawling at this point and unable to stop the tears. 'Please Jinki. Stop saying stuff you don't mean!! APOLOGIZE.' Jinki's conscience said, but he ignored it. "Love isn't for me." He said finally, then he realized what he had done and how he made Kibum feel. "Wait...Key... "  "No.. just leave me alone..." Kibum said and went to go change his clothes and gather his things to leave. Jinki followed him helplessly, trying to get him to understand. "Kibum I didn't mean it I was just--"  "Stringing me along, right? making me believe we could be something just to fulfill your own little sick experiment?? I thought you were showing me your true colors... but you made me look stupid..." Kibum cut him off, starting to storm out of his house. He didn't want to see him again, he didn't even want to think about him again. Jinki wanted to stab himself in the face. He couldn't believe he messed up a relationship that could've been... He genuinely did love him, he just, wasn't good with feelings and it was confusing him. "Kibum just wait!!" Jinki chased after him, only to find him and his ex-wife at the door together, looking at each other. Jinki was frozen. Kibum looked back at Jinki and looked at Mina, then wiped his eyes. "You're great at doing the news... please keep it up." Kibum mumbled, bowing to her politely and then storming off and down the street, not caring where he went or where he ended up. Jinki watched him and knew he couldn't bother him. Damn! How could he be so selfish?? "Wow, it looks like you made someone else unhappy." Mina said to him, folding her arms. "You're like lightning, Jinki. You shine bright and then fade away. You can't protect, all you can do is destroy." she went on. Jinki wanted to cry, but not while this witch was here making him feel more worthless. "What do you want, Mina." He asked. "My mom is here to get my stuff. I'm letting you keep the car you bought me and I'm staying with my mom." Mina explained, seeing her mom come back and forth getting the belongings she had packed all this time. "Right, I see." Jinki replied to her and she handed him her key to the house and the keys to her Audi that he bought her. Jinki didn't care about what she was doing, even though he was glad that she was out of his house for good now. He just wanted Kibum to come back....he wanted to apologize. Once she and her mom got all of their belongings out of the house, they both left without a word, and just like that; he was alone again. Jinki started to cry in the silence of his home, feeling really stupid for what he said to Kibum. "I'm....I'm so sorry....so sorry... " he cried to himself. He was afraid of hurting Kibum and he did it anyway. All he wanted was for once to not to be a disappointment to someone like he was to Mina, but he let kibum down. He let himself down. He tried calling the younger, but all he got was the voicemail and he just held his phone to his heart, hoping that Kibum was okay. He was okay, right?
