The dinner party

I'll take care of you

A month later, Seungri's parents had been fighting nonstop. Every single day for hours, until one of them would leave. Finally, Seungri's mom couldn't handle the fighting, and the abuse. She left, taking Seungri with her. But there was one problem, one night, at work, she got called into the office.

"So, Mrs, Lee. You've been here a long time, Haven't you?" The management asked.

She nodded slowly.

"Yes." She answered quietly.

"Well, um...we pulled up a video of you stealing food. We can't let that happen-"

"Please no! I-i'm...it's for my baby i-"

"Mrs Lee, I'm sorry. But we... there's nothing we can do. You're fired."

She started sobbing, as she gathered her things, and left.

She came home in a daze, and found an eviction notice. She started crying harder. What was a single mother with a 6 year old to do? Seungri noticed her crying, and frowned. He quickly ran up, and hugged her.

"Don't cry mommy." He muttered.

She couldn't help but smile, as she felt her heart melt. She tried hard over the next few weeks to find a new job, but nobody was hiring her. She felt discouraged. Especially, when the landlords kicked them out. So Seungri and his mother were now in a homeless shelter. A while later, Jiyong and his mom were at the shops, buying food for dinner that night. Jiyong looked over, and noticed Seungri and his mom in front of the shelter.

"Mama look! It's that boy and his mom, from the market. Remember? Can we invite them for dinner? Please?" Jiyong aksed, impatiently.

"No honey, not tonight. Grandma and Grandpa are coming over tonight. Sorry honey. Maybe next time though, okay?" She answered.

Jiyong frowned.

"But I want to help them." He said.

She smiled.

"Well, we can buy clothes or food to donate to the homeless shelter." She said.

He nodded.

"W-well...okay." he said.

A week later, Jiyong was going to hang out with his best friend, Youngbae.

"Hey, mom? Can I have some money for food?" Jiyong asked.

His mom nodded.

"Alright. You're going out with Youngbae?" She asked.

He nodded.

"Okay. Be safe love" She said, handing money over.

He smiled and hugged her.

"We will mom." He said, leaving.

"Hey bro! Where are we going first?" Youngbae asked.

"The store." Jiyong said, smiling.

"What? Why?" Youngbae asked.

"I want to get food. For Seungri." Jiyong said.

Youngbae shrugged and followed. The boys got to the store, and bought all kinds of things.

"Well...he's very skinny. We need to fatten him up! We'll get him beef jerky and candy and pasta...let's see...what do mom's like? Bread!" Jiyong said.

Youngbae laughed

"Why are you buying him food?" He asked.

Jiyong stopped, realizing he hadn't told Youngbae about Seungri yet.

"Oh...he's homeless. So I want to help them." He answered.

Youngbae blushed, embarrassed.

"O-oh.." he muttered.

They ran to the shelter as quickly as possible.

"Hi! We wanted to see Seungri and his mom please?" Jiyong asked the lady at the front desk.

The smiled.

"What for? Do you have a donation?" She asked.

He nodded.

"We want to give it them personally." He said.

She nodded, and called the room they were in.

Seungri and his mom slowly came out of the room.

"Hi...who are y-"

"Jiyong?" Seungri said slowly.

Jiyong nodded.

"Um...please...come in." Seungri's mom said.

Jiyong and Youngbae followed them into their room.

"We bought some food for you." Youngbae said.

Seungri's mom's eyes lit up. Her and Seungri stared at each other.

"Really? Aww you didn't have to."

"But...I wanted to help you guys." Jiyong said.

Seungri and his mom hugged them. A week later, Jiyong's mom was making dinner.

"Mom? Can I have a friend over for dinner?" He asked.

"Who? Youngbae?" She asked.

"No...um... Seungri and his mom..." He said quietly.

She thought for a moment.

"Uh...sure honey." She said.

He smiled.

"Thanks mom! I'll go get them." He said, leaving.

He ran to the shelter. And went to the room they were staying.

"Mom and I want you to stay for dinner." He said

They stared at him, shocked.

"A-are you sure?" She asked.

He nodded happily.

"Please?" He asked.

Her and Seungri laughed.

"Okay. Sure. Let's go."

Jiyong excitedly showed them the way to his house. When they got there, dinner was made and set out on the table. Seungri's stomach growled loudly. They sat at the table and ate the food. After dinner, Seungri and his mom were getting ready to leave.

"Mom can they stay the night?" Jiyong asked.

His mom nodded.

"Well...okay." she answered.

Jiyong smiled, and showed Seungri to his room.

"You can have my bed." Jiyong said.

Seungri stared.

"But...it's your bed..." He said.

Jiyong smiled.

"Well..okay. how about we share the bed?" He offered.

Seungri nodded.

"Okay." He said.

Seungri and Jiyong's mom's sat and talked for hours, as did Seungri and Jiyong. Eventually, Seungri and Jiyong were getting tired. Seungri was cold, so Jiyong draped his arm over Seungri's body and hugged him. They fell into a peaceful sleep.
