“Hey.”
Jongin looked up from his lunch, and nearly choked. Chaeyeon pulled out a chair across from him in the cafeteria, eyes sparkling with mischief and the cafeteria quieted at the scene. Seeing her in the cafeteria was a rare sight, but she didn’t seem to care as she nicked a piece of kimbap from his lunch before biting into an apple.
“Good to see you out of the library,” he wiped his mouth, loosening his tie a little. Since they were in different classes, they only saw each other in the halls and at lunch.
“I’ll be back in the library in a few minutes,” She shrugged before sliding two envelopes across the table to him. “Give the other one to Kyungsoo.”
He flipped over the envelope, sliding an invitation out of it and skimming over the words, “Your birthday?”
She nodded, mouth twisting slightly with distaste, “I usually don’t have friends to invite, and my parents make a big deal out of it for some reason.”
“You barely talk to Kyungsoo.” It was true. They said hello to each other occasionally, but that wouldn’t entail giving him an invitation.
“You do,” she shrugged with a smile and got up from her chair. “And I have to say, you choose to keep excellent company.”
“Stop complimenting yourself,” He snorted, lips stretching into a grin at her open confidence in herself.
