“Do you have homework?” Kyungsoo yawned to Chaeyeon, who nodded, tired.
“It’s Friday,” Jongin protested. “You sure that you can’t do it on the weekend?”
The dark circles under her eyes said otherwise. Her arms were curled around her head, and she sighed. Rather than doing homework, it looked like she needed to sleep.
“There’s a program,” she whispered, not looking up. “It’s somewhat well-known, but if you get good enough grades, you get to tag along with one of the professor’s invitation to a global conference in London between the end of this term and the start of the next.”
And because of that, Jongin knew that she would work herself into the grave.
“But that doesn’t mean you have to work on a Friday night,” Kyungsoo tugged her folder from under her arms, which was a bad move.
“You don’t get it, Kyungsoo,” she snapped.
“Then explain!”
She paused, before getting up and going to her bedroom. Kyungsoo took that as a sign of indifference and nonchalance and got up to leave.
“Wait, Kyungsoo you don’t know-”
“She doesn’t care enough to tell us,” Kyungsoo said before slamming the door behind him, and Jongin sighed as she returned, her arms wrapped around a book that he recognized all too well.
“Where did Kyungsoo go?”
“He thought that you weren’t going to answer and lock yourself away,” Jongin c
