Chapter 3
PresenceAfter enduring the cold treatment from the cast members, 2 tedious day of shoot finally ended. Despite the excruciating pain from his knee injury, Hakyeon kept his professionalism by smiling and greeting everyone before he leaves.
Once he’s sure that he’s out of everyone’s sight, he finally succumbed to the searing pain of his knee and lost his balance. Hakyeon’s manager quickly went forward to hold him and Hakyeon could feel himself slowly losing his consciousness.
“Hyung..help me to the van before someone comes…” Hakyeon mumbled as he could feel his cheeks burning with the flush of a fever. Hakyeon’s manager quickly helped Hakyeon to the van and laid him down at the back seat. Hakyeon immediately curled himself up instinctively as his face was scrunched up in pain.
“Hakyeon! You’re burning up really badly! It must be an infection from your injury! Why didn’t you tell me you’re not feeling well?! I would have postponed the shoot!” His manager whispered furiously as he felt Hakyeon’s forehead with the back of his hand.
“I’ll be fine…I’ll be fine after some sleep…” Hakyeon mumbled as he slowly drifted into sleep, hands going limp. Panicked, Hakyeon’s manager quickly drove to the hospital.
Upon arriving to the hospital, Hakyeon was quickly wheeled in to the emergency to receive treatment, leaving his manager pacing outside the room to wait.
30 minutes later, the doctor emerged from the emergency room with a nurse beside him.
“Are you Cha Hakyeon’s family?” The doctor asked as he approached his manager.
“I’m not but currently I’m the guardian of his as his family is away.” He said.
“His knee injury is quite severe and we had to stitch it up and due to the sloppy first aid done, it had caused an infection, which resulted in a high fever. For now, he will be fine but he needs ample rest a
