Pregnant silence engulfed the room as no one spoke to each other as they needed time to absorb what they just heard.

Moments later, Taekwoon stood up from his seat.

“Let’s go and visit Hakyeon. There’s no point in sitting here and dwelling in despair and regret. The least we can do now is to take care of him until he recovers.” Taekwoon stated determinedly. 

The rest of the members looked at him and nodded in agreement. Their manager looked at the members in approval.

“I’ll trust you guys to take care of Hakyeon okay? I need to get back to the company.” Their manager said as he tapped Taekwoon’s shoulders before leaving.

Upon entering the room, they could only see their leader, laying on the hospital bed with an oxygen mask over his face. They were not used to seeing this frail and weak side of their leader. 

Everyone’s heart broke seeing the sight of the usually strong and always smiling leader in this state. What’s worse was that they realised that things had to come to this stage before they were able to see the sacrifice that their leader made for them before they learned to appreciate it.

Taekwoon walked towards Hakyeon and sat beside his bed. Everyone found spots to sit to ensure that they are near their leader. Due to exhaustion, all of them soon fell asleep.

It was night time when Hakyeon woke up from his deep slumber. He looked around groggily and he realised that he was at the hospital. He groaned softly as he felt a heavy weight on his arm. He looked down and saw the peaceful face of Taekwoon sleeping. He was about to reach out and wake him up when memories what happened earlier rushed back to him.

He retracted his hands and lay back down on the bed and looked around his surroundings. He could see the faces of the members sleeping and he couldn’t help but smile at Hyuk sprawled all over the sofa. 

“I’m glad that Hyuk’s better now, seeing him being here and sleeping like a little kid.” Hakyeon thought.

“Good things never last..Things will go back to normal soon I guess…” Tears trickled down his face as he remembered his unwanted presence and the hatred of s.

In the morning, Taekwoon was the first to wake up from his sleep. He sat up and stretched his body, still feeling groggy, looking around. Realisation hit him as he saw that something was wrong.
