Blessing in Disguise
Someone Worth EverythingSeokjin bowed deeply. "Hello! I am Seokjin. It's very nice to meet you all. Let's work well together."
The group bowed back.
"Well, Seokjin, would you like to meet the rest of the cast?" asked the assistant director as the rest dispersed. Seokjin nodded and followed the man. He tried to pay attention as names were said quickly, and of course there were some well known actors he already knew (though not as famous as him) that he could remember. But he'd always been pretty good with names, so he didn't worry too much. "And this is Na Haeryung. She'll be playing your love interest."
Seokjin's eyes widened. What are the chances?
Haeryung squealed. "Oh my gosh, you're Kim Seokjin!"
She remembers me?
"I've been a huge fan of yours since forever!"
Oh.
Seokjin forced a smile. He hadn't planned on ever seeing her face again. "It's nice to meet you Haeryung."
She smiled and blushed a little. He didn't mean to have this effect on her, but apparently he was too handsome to even control it himself. Seokjin wanted to immediately crush her dreams and say something like, "I'm dating the guy you planned on marrying in high school," or "You have no chance with me because I'm gay," but he resisted the urge to keep up appearances.
"This is actually the first big role I'm getting in a show or movie," she confessed.
Seokjin raised his eyebrows and nodded. "Is that so?"
She nodded back. "Yup. I'm so excited. I'm so honored to be able to work with you. You're much more handsome in real life."
Okay, maybe she wasn't that bad. Seokjin internally scolded himself. No! She's a witch and you can't fall for her tricks.

"Okay, from the top!" shouted the director. Seokjin held in a groan. They had to shoot the scene for the tenth time.
It wasn't only excruciatingly annoying how the girl couldn't seem to remember her lines. It was also that she at acting. She couldn't make a scene look realistic if her life depended on it, thought Seokjin. How is this going to work?
This only happens on TV.
That was the first thing he thought when he opened his eyes.
He saw bright, white lights above that made the place seem harsh, and yet clean and safe. A head poked it's way into his line of sight.
"Jungkook? Are you awake? Don't worry, okay?"
His head hurt like hell, and everything he heard was fuzzy and muffled. Things seemed to move in slow motion and everthing was blurry. He couldn't seem to form words, so he let out a groan instead. Other faces appeared, but he couldn't catch anything they said before he out again.
Taehyung was not watching Jungkook's live performance. Not on purpose. He had just had a long day and wanted to calm down by watching something. Jungkook was the first thing that popped up, and he was too lazy to change it. (And it's not like he had heard that Jungkook would be performing live at this time on this channel from his manager or anything. Psshhhh...)
Maybe he was crazy, but Jungkook seemed a little off. Taehyung had been in a serious relationship with him for long enough to learn a few things. One, that Jungkook hid his feelings almost all the time. Two, that he was really good at it. But Taehyung didn't like how Jungkook would always suffer alone, so he tried to find out what signs could give his (ex) boyfriend away. After intense studying, Taehyung was able to notice a few things that Jungkook did when he was upset. If he was smiling, it wouldn't reach his eyes. And there'd be no genuine feelings in it. Also, his hand would move in a specific way if he was tense or worried about something. His movements were also a little more stiff and less energetic, especially if he was performing because he'd be focused on getting everything right instead of having fun, since having fun couldn't be an option if you were in a really crappy mood.
All the signs that Jungkook was showing on the screen translated to something being off. Not only the ones that Taehyung had learned to recognize, but also new ones. Jungkook's singing was a little less clear. It was like he was trying to focus on the singing, but he could barely remember the lyrics. His dancing was slower than the backup dancers, who were a little confused, and some even tried to slow down for him. Jungkook also seemed to be taking a lot bigger breaths than normal.
He should have seen it coming.
Jungkook's body crumpled to the ground, and Taehyung was off the couch in an instant. He flipped off his TV and quickly grabbed his keys and phone, forgetting his wallet, before moving out the door. He didn't know what he was planning on doing, but he did know where he was going. To wherever that concert was being held.
---
Taehyung hit his head against the steering wheel. Of course he wouldn't be staying at the concert hall. Taehyung took out his phone and searched something up. No one knew which hospital Jungkook would be going to. Everyone was trying to find out, though. The company was trying to ward off
