Minseok noted, as he and Jongdae sat side by side on a bench in the playground, that no matter how much Jongdae ate (and he ate quite a large meal), he never grew chubby. He, on the other hand, now had a portly figure and mushy cheeks (all thanks to his grandma).

“How are you not getting fat?” Minseok marveled aloud.

“Someone steals my fat from me.” Jongdae said as he proffered a bubblegum to Minseok, popping one in his mouth.

Minseok eyed the gum with curiosity as he accepted it. He had never before eaten a bubblegum – his parents imparted that he was not allowed to consume one until he reached the age of ten for the reason that he might swallow it. “Who steals your fat?”

“My dinosaur plushie!”

Minseok gaped at Jongdae in awe. “You have a dinosaur?”

“Mm-hmm, he’s this big!” Jongdae spread his arms wide to indicate the size of his stuffed toy.

“Woooooow!” Minseok squealed, putting his piece of gum in his mouth. “I have a big cat plushie.”
