i didn't have a choice but to tell you.

you seemed disappointed.

in your best friend and your lover.

but words came from your lips that i hear all the time.

normally i'm not so wonderstruck by words like that.

but you saying them, it was different. 

then you smiled at me and took my face in your hands. "whatever you choose, i want you to remember that i will always love you."

there it was.

the way my heart fluttered around you.

the way it beat so fast.

it reminded me of the day we met.

you sitting on that stump, staring at the flowers.

smiling like a child.

i fell for you at first sight.

and i still fall for you now. 

so i kissed you again.

with as much passion and love i could give.

against your lips, i said,

"i love you. and i will love you for as long as i live."

you made a small smile. "even if i can't walk anymore?"

i smiled back and kissed your nose. "even if you can't walk anymore."
