Secrets
PerturbNayeon, Nara + Sana's Side
Nayeon’s mouth was hanging open as she stared at the group of people in the airport. Maybe they were stranded like the rest of them were? She took in a deep breath, calming herself down and attempting to get rid of all the negative situations that were coming up in her head. She was too scared to even come into contact with her ex after their fight. She pushed Nara behind her, thinking of what she could do to evade their situation. Sana looked at her with worry, wondering what was going on in Nayeon’s mind.
“What is it?” Sana asked.
“That’s my ex.” Nayeon mumbled.
Sana’s eyes widened as Nayeon finally spoke up about what she was thinking about.
“You mean–”
“Yes. The person I’ve been talking about the entire trip.” Nayeon muttered.
“The person who hurt you? Right there? They came with you on the plane?!” Sana whispered harshly.
“It seems so. I had a feeling someone’s gaze was on me at the airport but I shrugged it off. This is all my fault.” Nayeon whimpered.
“No, none of this is your fault. You never thought this would happen!” Sana calmed, hugging Nayeon.
Nara looked around in confusion; why was her mother crying?
“Ma?” Nara called out.
“Sorry sweetheart.” Nayeon mumbled, wiping away her tears and turning around to face her.
“Why are you crying?” Nara pouted, hugging her Ma’s legs.
“Something was just in my eye.” Nayeon lied, patting Nara’s head.
“If anything, I know we shouldn’t leave this place. We don’t know anything about that group over there.” Sana said, frowning.
“Well, we need to act fast because some of them are headed this way.” Nayeon muttered. Sana turned her head to them, realising two of them were coming toward their direction.
“Quick, in the room!” Sana whispered, pushing the other two inside a nearby room.
“Hey, did you hear something?”
“No.”
“I swear I heard something.”
“There’s nothing here, come on.”
Nayeon and Sana let out a breath of relief as they heard the footsteps fade away. Nara stood by their side, confused but not saying a word. The two of them collapsed against the wall and sat down on the ground, willing their heartbeats to return to normal.
“Maybe we should’ve stayed in the room.” Sana mumbled.
Nayeon sighed, thinking about the situation they were in. She wondered what the situation was for Mina and Tzuyu at the moment. She hoped they were safe – at least staying as far as possible from creating trouble. Nayeon’s heart felt heavy at the thought of Mina being in trouble after meeting her again all these years later. She just got her back, she didn’t want to lose her again. Mina was always a stubborn one when it came to protecting those she cared about. She had a feeling that Mina knew about her ex being at the airport but refused to tell her.
A part of her felt hurt at the fact that she’d purposely not told her that she was at risk here but then there was another part of her that was appreciative – Nayeon knew Mina wanted the best for her. She felt betrayed but she felt like it was a reasonable decision. Either way, she’d be upset when she met Mina again. She might have wanted to protect Nayeon but there’s something Mina isn’t telling her. She sensed it back when the five of them were in the room together. Just what is Mina hiding from her? What is she keeping to herself?
Nayeon couldn't help but think about their situation further. Was everything that happened right now her fault? The people in danger here? They’d all gotten stuck in this situation because of this group of people and her ex was part of it. She should be solving this on her own, shouldn’t she? How could she go about this situation without putting them at a higher risk?
Mina + Tzuyu's Side
“Alright, I have a plan.” Mina finally spoke out after hours of silence. Her and Tzuyu had been monitoring Havoc’s movements across the airport and had managed to get most of their shifts down.
There were about 15 of them, 10 of them had posts in pairs, placed in 5 different places around the airport. 3 always remained behind in the area, surrounding the door to the control room. Each were armed with guns and protective armour. The ones patrolling were sent with batons only. That made it easy to get rid of them first. Though, they had to be careful – each set of pairs must be surprised. If they were alarmed, it would result in them contacting the others and sequentially ruining their entire plan.
“Point A and B are the closest to us. We’ll start off with those. Both guns have silencers on them so they won’t notice a thing. Though, just knocking them out will suffice. My superior has already sent out a team, they’ll take them instead. Use the gun for emergency purposes only. And of course, bodies need to be hidden. After A and B, we’ll go for D and E since we don’t know where C is. C would be in the middle somewhere so we’ll figure it out and go towards there together after D and E are completed. Is that clear?” Mina instructed.
Tzuyu nodded, holding the gun that Mina handed to her. She headed out first, taking B and E as her attacking places while Mina took A and D. It’s been a while since she last went through something like this but her skills don’t turn rusty so soon.
“Meet in the centre, near the elevators.” Mina commanded.
Tzuyu agreed, keeping her eyes peeled as she left the corridor first. Mina followed, moving towards the opposite direction of where Tzuyu was headed. This part was the easier of the two. Trying to get inside the control room was the key issue for them. Mina silently crept along the shadows of the walls around the airport, eyeing the pair from point A first. Once they were a few metres away from her, she used the of her gun to knock the back of their heads. Dragging them into a seating area nearby, she pulled out their batons and their walkie talkies. She switched them off for the time being, knowing they could make noise at any time. Mina double checked their consciousness before leaving; it would take a while for them to be awake again.
Tzuyu was already done and waiting for Mina by the elevators. She’d almost been caught by the pair at point E but used her a baton to render them unconscious. Right now, she was waiting impatiently for Mina. She knew that she could handle herself but she was getting worried about being caught. Tzuyu’s foot was causing problems for her as well – the cloth wrapped around it wasn’t doing any good. She was about to take a look at it when Mina had finally arrived. She was out of breath and her cheek was slightly bruised but nonetheless, she was okay.
“Are you okay?” Tzuyu asked to doublecheck.
“Yes. One of them just got a baton to my cheek.” Mina mumbled, scanning Tzuyu for injuries.
“I’m fine. No need to look.” Tzuyu said, moving Mina’s focus off her.
“Alright, so point C then?” Mina indicated. The two of them had hid the bodies in appropriate places but hoped the others weren’t being searched for at the moment. “I doubt we have much time, so we’ll have to be quick.”
Point C turned out to be further than the two had expected. The pair Mina and Tzuyu were observing were trying to get their walkie talkies to work, growing frustrated with the lack of responses from whoever they were contacting. Distraction made things easier for Mina and Tzuyu, easily jabbing the back of their necks rendering them unconscious as well.
“How long do you think we have?” Tzuyu asked as they walked aimlessly.
“I’d say about an hour. There’s nothing to worry about though. With the removal of these people, it gives my team leader a chance to sneak into the airport. They’ll be smashing through a window at the back. They’ll collect the people part of Havoc and take them out to get information out of them.” Mina mumbled.
“Couldn’t we have just escaped then? Why did we go through the process of knocking them out?” Tzuyu frowned.
“Because, Nayeon’s and Nara’s safety is at risk. And it’s also my mission to complete. You can always leave Tzuyu – and take Sana with you. But you wanted to stay back to fight.” Mina explained.
“You’re right… I think I just lost track of my thoughts. I want to make sure Nayeon is safe too. It’s just that I wish I hadn’t brought Sana into this situation.” Tzuyu sighed.
“Don’t blame yourself Tzuyu. Sometimes things work out a certain way for a reason.” Mina smiled, patting Tzuyu’s back.
Tzuyu was suddenly pulled to the side, a firm grip on her shirt. About to shrug them off and punch them, Tzuyu turned around, jumping back when she realised it was Sana.
“What are you doing here?!” Tzuyu asked harshly. She’d warned Sana to stay in the room where they dropped them off.
“I’m sorry – we couldn’t stay in the room. We were just too worried about you two.” Sana explained, panicking. Tzuyu relaxed, bringing Sana into her embrace. Sana cried softly in her arms and Tzuyu hugged her tighter, kissing the side of her head.
“It’s okay, hey, stop crying.” Tzuyu mumbled, wiping away Sana’s tears as they moved apart.
“I’m sorry, I really am.” Sana apologised, head down.
“It’s okay.” Tzuyu whispered, kissing Sana’s forehead and her cheeks before leaning in to capture her lips. Sana gripped Tzuyu’s shirt tightly, venting out her worry for Tzuyu in the kiss. Tzuyu held Sana’s chin above her finger, cradling her cheek as she deepened the kiss, pushing her against the wall. She placed another kiss on Sana’s forehead as they broke apart, hugging her.
“Nayeon should be here soon, she just went to the bathroom.” Sana mumbled, realising that Mina was awkwardly standing by their side. As Sana said, Nayeon appeared a few minutes later, holding Nara’s hand. She smiled as she approached them, feeling calm now that they were here. But then she remembered her earlier thoughts and dropped her smile as she neared Mina.
“Sana, Tzuyu, can you take Nara and leave me with Mina for a little while?” Nayeon asked.
Tzuyu and Sana looked at each other, confused with the request but nodding in acceptance. They guided Nara to a seating area, leaving the other two behind.
“Nayeon?” Mina mumbled in confusion.
“You have some explaining to do Mina.” Nayeon frowned, crossing her arms.
“W-what do you mean?” Mina stuttered.
“Tell me, why my ex, Hirai Momo, is amongst the group of people in this airport.” Nayeon whispered harshly.
A/N: Congratulations to those who guessed the ex was Momo xD (A lot of you guessed it!)
I split it up and clarified the perspectives to make it less confusing but if it made it worse, let me know :]
