Keeping a mirror in your locker isn’t the best idea. You inspect the new metal in your mouth, groaning at how the braces look. They are starting to get on your nerves. Every five seconds your lip is getting caught or the wire is rubbing a new ulcer on your cheek. With a sigh, you pull your eyes away from your reflection to see your friend Chanyeol walking down the hall. You become very self conscious and shove your head in your locker. Now is not the time to be teased by him.

His lock comes undone, and you hear rustling in the neighboring locker. You don’t dare move.

“I will once you get your head out of there.” He leans against the locker on your other side with his arms crossed and watches you.

You reluctantly pull your head out, giving him an angry look. His eyes trail to your mouth where your upper lip is slightly sticking out more than before you had your braces.

“What were you doing?” He raises his eyebrows.

“Whatcha hiding in there?” He bops your chin and laughs when you wince. “Smile.”
