At a young age, Youngjae was left alone on this harsh, cold world when her parents died of an accident. And to make it worst, they passed on the day of her birthday. With no where to go and no one to turn to, Youngjae was brought to the orphanage, yet was never adopted because of her coldness towards people. To Youngjae, the word 'soulmate' is something that she doesn't think too highly of. It doesn't bring those other than the ones that are paired up happiness. To her, it only meant sadness and anger. Just a name that appears on people's eighteenth birthday and nothing else. After her parents' death, Youngjae no longer have the power to love and trust and see the world in color again.

Jung Daehyun. A boy who also lost the person he loved and depended on the most at a young age. On his own, he grew up in a colorless world, much like Youngjae's, and lost the power to love and trust people until the two crossed path in high school.

Together, the two helped each other see the world in color and helped each other to believe in the word 'soulmate'. With the help from people that they have met along the way for knowing each other, their world would become just a whole lot better than when they are fighting alone.
