Chapter 6

Strangers

Chapter 6

Surprised to see not just Chorong but everyone else in her sight, she smiled. But reality had hit her that she had a performance to present. In order to be professional, she had to ignore these personal feelings that lumped in her heart. Just the very thought of the girl, she had to erase it. Taking a deep breath, she pressed the keys and sung her song as promised. From the corner of her eye, she could see caretakers taking Chorong and the other girls away, obviously identified as a disruption to the performance due to the dolphin girl's sudden shout. She wanted to get up, she wanted to stop them and let them hear her music. But, she couldn't. The performance must go on.

As her melodic voice resounded the house, the girls were forced out of the retirement home.

"I-It was just a mistake! Please let us in!" pleaded Bomi as she tried to push her way through.

"Please do not interrupt the performance. We will reconsider your actions once it is finished." said one of the caretakers with a strict tone as they shut the gate tight, in front of their faces.

"It's okay unnie. We'll find another way." said Namjoo wanted to comfort Chorong who was just surprised. She wasn't sure what to feel at that moment. Should she enjoy the happiness that comforted her heart because Eunji was found or agitate the anger that boiled inside because of her ridiculous mistake of calling her name out? The younger girls on the other hand, didn't blame her. After all, it was understandble to call out Eunji upon seeing her at first glance. Everyone missed her. Chorong missed her. It was far too obvious from the look of her eyes.

"Well, we'll wait then." said Hayoung calmly as she sat on the concrete road, leaning her back against the gate.

"Hayoung-ah, your pants will get dirty." said Namjoo.

"While we wait, let's hear Eunji unnie sing." smiled Naeun as she sat down, right next to the maknae while leaning her head against her shoulder, clearly exhausted from the running earlier.

"Wow, a fashion stylist is sitting on the floor. Let me take a picture of this." teased Bomi.

"Keep quiet Bom-ah!" hissed Chorong as the kids were too noisy. She wanted to hear Eunji's voice. She wanted to hear her sing.

With everyone's lips tightly shut, only Eunji's vocals echoed loudly as it resounded into a beautiful tone. For three minutes until the end of her performance, no one talked or made a single noise at all. Her song alone, struck the whole audience in awe, especially Chorong who realised the amount of talents the girl had, a side she had never seen before. Hearing applause from the retirement house as they could hear the elderly beginning to bicker and gossip about her performance, they heard the door creak open. The girls who turned their heads around at the same time, only a cheery laughter broke out as Eunji came outside.

"I should've filmed that. You guys looked so cute when your heads turned around at the same time." laughed Eunji as she wrapped her hands around the gate, leaning her face in front with a grin. The only thing that seperated the girls from Eunji was the locked gate that could only be opened by the caretakers.

"How did you find me? Or rather, why are all of you here?" said Eunji who was just completely overjoyed to see familiar faces around.

"Because you had us all worried you idiot!" said Chorong with a sigh.

"Gosh, you're really stupid to suddenly leave like that." said Bomi, crossing her arms.

"Unnie, I'm glad that you're okay but everyone was really worried." said Naeun.

"I'm telling mom." said Hayoung.

"Woah, woah, hold on. I can explain. Uh-let me get this gate open first. Hold on." said Eunji with a nervous laughter as she quickly went back inside the retirement home. It didn't take long before the girl returned, holding the keys in her hands. As she placed the key into the lock, she suddenly paused.

"Hold on. Promise me that when I unlock this, you won't tell mom about this Hayoung-ah." said Eunji with a glare.

"Maybe." replied Hayoung.

"Just open it gosh" sighed Chorong, having enough of jokes.

"Alright unnie~" grinned the girl as she turned the lock. The moment the gate opened, she was immediately greeted with a warm embrace from her younger sister. Taken by surprise, Eunji had no idea that her sudden disapperence would be taken so seriously.

"Don't do that ever again unnie..." mumbled Hayoung, not letting go.

"You're a bad sister." joked Bomi.

"You're a bad sister." followed Namjoo.

"You're a bad sister." followed Naeun.

"Oh wow, not you too Naeun-ah." said Eunji with a nervous laughter.

"You're a bad sister." said Chorong as she signalled the girl to comfort Hayoung with her eyes. Clearly, she had motherly-like instincts.

"Aigoo this baby, I can't even take my eyes off you once huh?" said Eunji with a smile as she looked at Hayoung. The maknae's strong, confident image earlier had all crumbled down into pieces as she was now, like a child who yearned for her mother. She was just a girl who missed her dear sister so much.

"I-I'm not a baby..." stuttered Hayoung who cuddled herself in her sister's arms. Despite their huge height difference, she was in a comfortable position because Eunji was like a pillow.

"Anyways now that we've found you, we are taking you back to Seoul. Now." said Chorong with her arms crossed. She was clearly not very happy with Eunji's wild decision.

"Crap, she already knew my inital plan in the beginning. I really can't beat this unnie" thought Eunji who felt slightly nervous upon recieving her glare. Knowing fully well that the girl must've kept their deal a secret, it would be far too difficult to explain the full story to the other girls who clearly don't know the actual truth. She wasn't going to join the audition because it was her dream. It was all for the money. It was all to pay Chorong's debt. Trapped in a corner with nowhere to run, it was only time before everything will be spilled.

"Hold up! I think there's a misunderstanding! You can't just suddenly take me back, I still have things to do here!" said Eunji as she slowly took a step back.

"We have a lot of questions for you Eunji-ya." said Bomi.

"Where do you want us to start?" asked Naeun.

"Uh-"

"Excuse me, Miss Eunji-ssi?" said one of the caretakers who  interrupted their conversation, heading outside where the girls were in a hurry.

"Ah, yes?" said Eunji completely switching her behaviour, placing her hands together with a gentle bow.

"The grandpas and grandmas would like you to sing another song for them if it's alright with you."

"Oh really?"

"Yes, they love your singing!"

"Well then, there's no time to waste!"

"Thank you Miss Eunji-ssi!"

"Oh and, please let these girls in. They can help out with the chores." said Eunji with a cheeky smile.

"Hey Eunji-" said Bomi, knowing what that smile meant.

"Oh no..." sighed Chorong.

"I knew it would be like this" mumbled Hayoung.

"Really? That is wonderful! Come on girls, I have lots of work to give you!" said the caretaker whose face became brighter as she brought the girls back into the retirement home. Soon, they had to forget about interrogating Eunji for a moment as the five girls soon became busy in doing various chores at the retirement home. They were tasked with many things such as cleaning, cooking, massaging the elderly, making sure they were well-fed and comfortable while they relaxed on their chairs, enjoying Eunji's vocals that hummed beautifully, almost acting as a background music for the girls.

Interacting with the grandmothers and grandfathers were quite heart-warming for the Seoul girls who were just too busy and had almost forgotten the most basic happiness in life, giving. It reminded them of their own grandparents and was quite an experience for the girls whose visit to the retirement home was completely unplanned. It taught them appreciation, respect and many other values. Perhaps, it was all thanks to Eunji that these girls were able to experience such a moment in their lives? For about four hours, the girls spent a memorable time with the elderly and wished them to be healthy for a long time, before leaving. As they bowed, saying their farewells to the elderly folks and the caretakers who welcomed them warmly despite the hiccup in the beginning, it was quite a long day. With the gates shut and the sun down, they were tired and hungry.

"It's really a good thing you girls came!" said Eunji with a smile.

"You think we would've forgotten our actual purpose of us coming here aren't you?" said Chorong, obviously not taking Eunji's bait.

But it was at that moment, Chorong's stomach suddenly grumbled out loud. In that one second of silence, everyone looked at her and later broke into a hearty laughter.

"Alright madam, let's get you some food before I start talking alright?" said Eunji with a laugh, putting her arms around her shoulder.

"We need to feed this grandmother quick!" teased Bomi.

"Hey." growled Chorong to which Bomi quickly got silent.

"Where are we going to eat?" asked Namjoo.

"I know a good place. Follow me." said Eunji with confidence as the girls followed her lead.

"Unnie, don't tell me-" said Hayoung, having an idea where she was going.

"Yup, we are going there!" asnwered Eunji with a nod.

~X~

The Busan girl didn't bring her friends to a restaurant. No, it was not a shopping mall either nor a market. It was a apartment house located right in the centre of the Busan town, bustling with much vibrant nightlife which was a completely opposite compared to the life in the morning. Could this possibly be the place Eunji has been staying for the past three days. The answer, yes. In fact, it belongs to one of Eunji's friend from her large social circle. But the only problem was, it belonged to a guy.

"Eunji-ya!"

"What, Chorong unnie?" asked Eunji as she turned her head around, her fingers pausing before unlocking the door.

"W-W-Why in the world are you staying with a man?" stuttered Chorong, thinking of weird things.

"Unnie, you're the one who's thinking the wrong things now! He's not living in this house anymore!" said Eunji with a laugh, finding it adorable of the older girl to get embarrassed at the thought of entering a guy's house.

"Oh, is it that friend Euni-ya? What was his name again? Kang.....Kang Seungyoon?" asked Bomi, trying to recall her memory.

"Kang Seungyoon?!" said Namjoo surprised.

"Why? Do you know him unnie?" asked Hayoung.

"Of course! My high school friends are huge fans of him. He's a popular street musician." said Namjoo.

"Bingo~ in fact he's going around busking on foot. Last I heard he's stopping by Gyeongju and then off to Chuncheon." said Eunji as she finally unlocked the door, welcoming the girls to a rather, spacious apartment room decorated with a simplistic design.

"So is that why you're now trying to become a singer like him too?" asked Naeun.

"Um...we'll talk about that later. Head in first." said Eunji with a nervous laughter.

Eunji chose to stay at a friend's house instead of her own because she had secrets to keep. Knowing her mom well, she would've spread information all over the whole neighbourhood and it would be a mess. Although she was scared of her own mom and aware that Hayoung would get suspicious too, she was ready for whatever was coming. She had to protect Chorong's secret at all costs.

As the girls gathered in the living room that was fully equipped with a functioning air conditioner, a wide-screen television and a comfortable couch that could fit five people, it was completely a different image that they had imagined. Just by being in that house, no one would've thought that they were in Busan. Surely, Eunji's friend must've been quite well-off.

"You girls can just relax and chill, I'll cook dinner. It's my treat since you've surprised me by coming all the way here to Busan." said Eunji as she headed to the kitchen. Chorong stood up from her seat and followed her while the kids were already preoccupied with the television. It was currently airing Weekly Idol that featured Hayoung's favourite girl group "Girl's Generation". She was already too excited and telling everyone about her favourite member Yuri as they laughed watching their antics on the screen.

Back at the kitchen, Chorong felt like she wanted to talk to Eunji in person regarding their secret kept in between. It wasn't only that but because she couldn't trust Eunji to cook all by herself. From what she knew, the girl was confident that she was the best cook.

"Eunji-ya, I'll help you. What are you cooking?" asked Chorong as she rolled up her sleeves.

"Unnie, you can just sit down and relax. Let me handle it."

"No. Tell me what are you cooking." said Chorong, not budging one bit.

"Alright, fine. I'm just going to cook some simple kimchi fried rice and a pancake for everyone to share. You can start by cutting these onions." said Eunji as she opened the fridge and tossed the onions to Chorong who went straight to work. The girl knew that she could never stop her unnie from doing anything at all.

Just by one instruction, the pair had perfect teamwork together. They worked in silence as one operated the stove while the other was cutting, peeling and slicing vegetables, meat etc. It all seemed to go into perfect plan, until the four "kids" began to make a mess out of everything. Bomi and Namjoo who were getting tired of waiting, sneaked into the kitchen and offered to help. But knowing them, they would just make it worst. Eunji and Chorong had to shoo the duo away and stopping them from stealing pieces of food while on the other hand,  clumsy Naeun had spilled her orange juice all over the floor while Hayoung couldn't be bothered as she was glued to the television screen. It was indeed a hectic chaos.

"EUNJI-YA! NAEUN SPILLED ORANGE JUICE ALL OVER THE FLOOR! WHERE'S THE TISSUE?!!" yelled Bomi as she came back to the kitchen running after being shooed away.

"Namjoo-ya, stop eating!" scolded Chorong who caught the girl putting a piece of sausage into .

"I'm sorry Eunji unnie....I did it again...." said Naeun who felt sorry, walking to the kitchen with her hands completely soaked in orange juice.

"Unnie stop walking! YOUR FEET HAS ORANGE JUICE AS WELL! STOP! YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE THE WHOLE HOUSE DIRTY!!" yelled Namjoo noticing a line of orange liquid following Naeun's footsteps.

"UNNIE! WATCH THIS! IT'S SO HILARIOUS! YURI UNNIE KEEPS MESSING UP IN THE RANDOM PLAY DANCE!!" laughed Hayoung out loud, obviously not caring at the current situation.

"HEY! STOP WATCHING THAT STUPID SHOW AND HELP US OUT HAYOUNG-AH!" yelled Bomi who ran out to living room to scold Hayoung. But instead, her feet slipped over the orange juice on the floor that made it slippery. This caused an ultimately huge mess as the girl crashed into Naeun and Namjoo halfway, causing all three to tumble onto the floor.

"Oh my god, you guys..." sighed Chorong.

"They are really a handful bunch aren't they?" said Eunji with a speechless sigh as she turned off the stove, took a wet cloth and went out to the living room, tossing it right at Bomi's face.

"Clean this mess up yourself." sighed Eunji.

"Hey. Can't you girls just sit still for once? I know that you're hungry but you have to wait patiently. The two of us here are busy cooking and you're just making it worse. Do you want to eat your food next morning?" scolded Chorong as she too, went out. arms crossed while glaring at the girls.

"She also meant you too, Hayoung-ah." said Eunji as she turned to the maknae whose eyes were still on the screen.

"Huh? What? Me?" said Hayoung, completely clueless at the whole situation.

"Gosh, the four of you seriously...." sighed Eunji with a facepalm.

"YOU KIDS!" shouted both Chorong and Eunji in unison as they went back to the kitchen together, wanting to only focus on cooking.

They were like the father and mother of the household who had to behave the four, noisy children that created a huge mess. Returned to the kitchen, they resumed their work as usual, already giving up as they believed the "kids" were still sane enough to clean after their own mess. As expected, they did. Bomi, Naeun, Namjoo and Hayoung who could sense their disappointment silently took the wet cloth and wiped the orange juice away. Forming a team by force, they sneakily tried to take tissues and other items from the kitchen as they managed to clean everything, spot clean. Taking a glance at the two "parents" who were only focused on cooking, they quietly went back to the living room and watched the television in silence. Not moving an inch from the couch, the four girls were now completely well-behaved, listening to Chorong and Eunji's words well as they stuck their butts to the sofa, not moving anywhere.

Thanks to their "good behaviour", dinner was ready in no time as Eunji placed the whole pan of kimchi fried rice on the table over a cloth while Chorong served the large pancake.

"Get the utensils by yourself. You guys are not kids." said Chorong as the girls immediately stood up and independently went to the kitchen, took their own chopsticks and spoons and returned back to their seat, ready to eat.

"If you want water, it's the first container at the left bottom side of the fridge. If you want warm water, there's a dispenser on your right." instructed Eunji as she scooped the fried rice and served them into six seperate bowls.

"What about orange juice?" asked Bomi.

"Orange juice? Hey, do you want that incident to-"

"Nothing. I'll just take water then, MOM," said Bomi not wanting to hear her friend nagging again, emphasizing the word "mom" with a deeper tone, as if she was imitating a fat middle schooler causing the girls to laugh.

"Gosh, I'm not a mom." sighed Eunji with a pout.

"I know, you're the dad." said Hayoung with full of food.

"And you are a mushroom." grinned Eunji as she touched Hayoung's bulging cheek due to her full mouth.

"Don't talk when you're eating." said Chorong.

"Yes mom." mumbled Hayoung.

"Yes mom." followed Eunji.

"Hey." said Chorong.

"Ah I know! Chorong unnie's the mom while Eunji unnie is the dad!" said Namjoo with an idea.

"It fits them well." giggled Naeun.

"Hi Mom, Hi Dad. Please take good care of me." teased Bomi as she suddenly stood up and bowed.

"How did you two meet?" teased Hayoung.

"Gosh, you guys are seriously..." said Eunji with a laugh, slightly embarassed at her sister's question. Although she knew it was a joke but she couldn't help but to remember her actual first meeting with Chorong.

"Stop talking nonsense and eat." instructed Chorong as the girls obeyed, immediately proceeding to devour the food in silence as they continued to watch the television. The older girl too, couldn't help but to think about Hayoung's question. Her meeting Eunji was purely a mere coincidence or rather, it was a good thing that they met otherwise who knows what could've happened to her. Of course, no one knows the real story except the two of them. It has always been a secret or rather, the two had always been keeping secrets from their friends. Maybe there will come a time where all of these secrets would be revealed in the end. Who knows?

As the girls had their bellies full, this allowed them a time to get to know each other better. As it was Namjoo's first time meeting Eunji, it was slightly awkward but it didn't take time for the two to get comfortable as the older girl was used to meeting various types of people. As many simple, light-hearted conversations went through with bits of laughter and jokes in between, time passed quickly. With everyone settled down, plates clean and not a single speck of food left on the table, it was time to ask the big question. After all, Eunji had been running and avoiding it all along. They couldn't let it pass like that.

"So, Eunji-ya, you're preparing for the audition?" asked Bomi.

"For once you seem pretty enthusiastic unnie" said Hayoung.

"But it has always been your passion right?" asked Naeun.

"If you become a singer unnie, I'm going to be your number 1 fan!" said Namjoo.

"You guys are really jumping into conclusions pretty fast" said Eunji with a nervous laugh, exchanging glances with Chorong who remained silent. She was a girl who kept secrets. Loyal to keeping her lips tight, she was at a corner into making up excuses.

"Ah, screw this. I'll just make up a really huge lie! Sorry girls!" thought Eunji who had no other choice.

"Actually for all these past years, I've been working so many jobs. I've been a taxi driver, a cashier, waitress, a cleaner and even a part-time kindergarden teacher. But the only reason why I did all that was to support this little baby here and my family." said Eunji, trying to maintain a straight face as she started to create her own "fake story".

"I'm not a baby" mumbled Hayoung.

"To me, you are a baby." said Eunji as she gently pinched the girl's cheeks.

"Anyways, I was never happy. Of course I did it because of the situation but now, we are financially stable. Mom and dad are working hard and Hayoung's earning her own cash so there's no need for me to continue right? That's when I thought it was my chance to achieve my own dream again. I'm sure you know that I dropped out of my music college a week before my graduation. Well, I do regret a bit and this time, I don't want to make the same mistakes again. That's why, I'm starting all over. Yes, I'm going to enter the audition." continued Eunji.

"Wow~" said Bomi clapping, impressed at her friend's determination.

"I will support you all the way Eunji unnie!" said Namjoo with enthusiasm.

"Haha, thanks." said Eunji with a laugh, knowing that they completely fell for her trap.

"How long are you going to be in Busan?" asked Naeun.

"Tommorow is my last day. When I'm back in Seoul, I'll be meeting up with a bunch of my musician friends." answered Eunji.

"Right, this girl has too many friends. What are we to us?" joked Bomi.

"Hey~I didn't mean it that way~" said Eunji with a pout.

"Anyways, it's getting late. We should get going girls." said Chorong as she took a peek at the clock hanging against the wall while remembering that Eunji's mother might be still awake and waiting for the kids to return home. Upon her orders, the four girls stood up as well and headed for the entrance, saying their goodbyes to Eunji.

"Wait, unnie..." said Eunji as she held onto Chorong's hand while eyes fully on hers.

"I know. Hold on." whispered Chorong as if she had something in plan.

"See you back in Seoul Eunji-ya! Don't forget to drop me a call when you're free!" said Bomi waving to her friend.

"You have to tell us when you're auditioning so that we can cheer you on okay?" said Namjoo.

"I hope that you get in unnie." said Naeun.

"I'm telling mom about this. I don't care." said Hayoung.

"Ah....just do whatever you want..." sighed Eunji with a smile as she facepalmed herself, clearly obvious that her big lie has gotten herself more trouble to handle with.

"You girls head on first. I need to talk to Eunji for a bit." said Chorong.

"Huh? Just the two of you?" said Bomi with her eyes wide open.

"We'll just wait for you outside." said Namjoo.

"No, it will take a long time. Just go on first. Tell aunty that I'll be back a bit later so ask her not to worry."

"Long time uh huh I see..." said Hayoung, already suspecting something.

"We're going to have an adult talk. You kids are not allowed." said Chorong.

"Hey, I'm an adult!" said Bomi.

"You're a kid, Bomi-ya." said Eunji. The girl's reply made everyone laugh as they decided not to pester the two and left, leaving the two girls all alone in the apartment room. But it was already clear that something was amiss, the four girls who went back first began gossiping and making up rumours about the relationship between those two.

As soon as Chorong closed the door, she could hear a nervous laughter from behind. Eunji felt scared yet she felt excited, the thrill of getting caught was somewhat entertaining. Quickly standing at the farthest corner of the living room, the girl crouched down and covered her eyes as a wide cheeky grin plastered her face.

"Eunji-ya." said Chorong in a low, upset tone as she turned around to see the girl all the way at the back, squatting in a corner. Looking at such a sight, a speechless laugh escaped . It looked adorable, almost like a puppy who wanted to hide itself after making a huge mistake.

"Hi unnie. Have you been doing well the past three days? I hope you didn't worry too much about me suddenly disappearing without a word." said Eunji with a nervous laughter, waving towards the girl.

"I can't believe you did something this crazy." sighed Chorong as she walked towards the girl.

"Uwaah~~ Don't hit me unnie! I did nothing wrong!" said Eunji with a shout yet laughing at the same time. She was enjoying this. The thrill of fear and having no idea what was going to happen next struck her mind as the older girl walked towards her, almost wanting to raise her fists to her face but instead, Chorong tickled her neck. It had taken her by surprise because she had no idea that Chorong knew her weakest point.

"Ahhh! Unnie!!" said Eunji with a laugh, flinching and flapping her arms as she could not escape from Chorong's quick hands. The tickling punishment recieved by the older girl, it was tormenting yet enjoyable at the same time. It was strange because both fear and excitement conquered her heart. For about five seconds, the tickling continued as Chorong started to giggle, finding Eunji's reactions adorable. Finally letting go of her hands, she figured this was good enough to scold Eunji for doing something reckless.

"Ah, it's over." said Eunji with a laugh.

"What? Do you want more?" said Chorong with a creepy grin.

"No."

"Gosh, you really....are crazy Eunji-ya." said Chorong as a sigh escaped, knowing that Eunji's actions cannot be turned back. Once the girl had made a decision, no one can stop it.

"It's the only way. Where else will I be able to get that much of money to pay off your debts?"

"But...." said Chorong with a pause, grateful yet feeling burdened at the amount of dedication the younger girl has into solving her own problems. She was truly a very selfless girl and it was a very good personality. But at times, it can fall into the wrong hands.

"Unnie..." said Eunji who observed the girl's expression. Just one look, she could tell what's going on. It was always the case because she had always been looking at her and only her. Having an idea that their conversation and discussions would take awhile, she stood up and headed to the kitchen, opening the fridge as she took out a bottle of soju, a couple cans of beer and two glasses. Placing them on the table at the living room, she started to pour them into the glass.

"What are you doing?" asked Chorong.

"Come over here unnie."

Obediently, the girl headed the the table and sat down, recieving the filled glass from the girl.

"Cheers." said Eunji with a smile as she finished pouring the other glass and lifted it.

"I mean, why are you suddenly drinking alcohol all of the sudden.." said Chorong as their glasses clink in unison, each taking a small sip from the refreshing drink.

"Well, things like these are much better to talk with alcohol."

"Eunji-ya, you like to drink don't you?" said the girl getting a hint.

"Aigoo, don't be like this unnie~ I haven't drank this whole week it's suffocating" said the girl with a nervous laughter.

"As long as you don't become an alcoholic that's fine." said the girl as the atmosphere suddenly became quiet for a second. The two girls glanced at each other awkwardly.

"Unnie..."

"Mm?"

"Are you uncomfortable if I sign up for the audition? We can always find other ways to solve this." said Eunji, trying to understand how Chorong must've felt. Surely, it must've been burdenful to have someone doing all the work while she's just sitting there, waiting for the miracle to happen.

"I mean it's not that...it's just..."

"Are you worrying again? Is there like one hundred thoughts going on in your mind right now?"

"Sort of..."

"Aigoo this unnie, there will never be a day where she will not worry over things. This is why alcohol is your answer. Drown your worries and just let me do it unnie. Believe in me, I will get that cash for you!"

"But...are you happy making this choice? I understand that you're doing in for the sake of the cash but you also have to consider if you don't make it. Even if you do, there's a whole celebrity life ahead of you. Are you going to be okay with that?"

"As long as I'm with you unnie, I have nothing to lose."

Hearing her words, Chorong's face started to grow red. She had no idea what was going on.

"Omo unnie, you're already growing red after drinking a few sips." laughed Eunji.

"S-Shut up....." said the girl as her voice got softer.

"Unnie, trust in me. I'll make it work. I will free you from your debts. Let me be your hero."

"Oh gosh, where in the world do you learn all those cringy lines sheesh" said Chorong with an unpleasant tone, taking another sip from her cup as her eyebrows scrunched.

"I'm guessing you're not going to stop me right? You won't get mad at me for doing this right?"

"I won't. Thank you Eunji-ya. I..I don't know how to repay you back..."

"Just rest at ease unnie. Here, drink some more." said the girl with a smile, refilling Chorong's cup with more alcohol.

As it got late into the night, the girls continued to drink and talk about many things. Sharing their worries about their jobs, frustrations and stories that happened in their life, it was a very comfortable atmosphere as they were in their own world, a secret place where no one can intercept in between. Eunji talked about her life in Busan, the good and bad things about her hometown and her childhood inspirations to become a singer. Chorong on the other hand, talked about how it was her first time being in Busan, her future plans about her career and also stories about her childhood.

The older girl who trusted Eunji so much, decided to drink all her worries away just like she said. It didn't take long before she was in a drunken-like state. The younger girl on the other hand was able to handle alcohol-well and instead found it interesting about Chorong's drinking habits which was talking about the same topic over and over again. It was adorable just watching the girl contanstly talk non-stop.

"And then you know, Namjoo got really happy when she found out the intern, Hayoung is a female-"

"Yes, they got really close after that. I've heard this story a million of times already unnie. I think you need to take a break and rest." said Eunji, gently snatching away the cup from the girl's hand.

"No." mumbled the girl as she moved her hand further away.

"Ah, unnie, you're really drunk." said Eunji with a laugh as she looked at her. For a moment she froze, her face was so close to Chorong as the girl just stared at her with her sleepy, drunken eyes.

"Crap, I'm too close..why is my heart beating fast? Unnie looks cute with her face all red like that. She's really drunk." thought Eunji as she gulped. Her body didn't seem to move away as there was a moment of silence of the two just staring into each other's eyes.

"Eunji-ya."

"Yes unnie?"

Before the girl could even reply, Chorong suddenly leaned herself against Eunji, falling onto her body as the girl managed to catch her. However as they landed on the floor, Eunji froze with the girl on top of her, their lips were gently touching each other.
