"Hi?" I said.

She shifted her attention to me, curious to see who greeted her.

"Unnie...You're here..." She mumbled.

I nodded and stood there awkwardly.

The atmosphere was awkward and tense. Both parties didn't know what to do and what was the next step.

I hesitated awhile before sitting down beside her. I purposely left a gap when I sat beside her.

Neither party said anything. The breeze was cooling and refreshing but still had that hinge of tense atmosphere between us.

I didn't know what to say and how to start the conversation. 

Should I ask her how's her day?

Or should I apologise first?

At this point I was already racking my brains but still showed a calm and quiet side on the front.

"So...How was your day?" I said and broke the silence.

"Uhhh... fine I guess?" She replied softly.

"Oh...I see. That's good..." I said and stared down at my legs.

The silence resumed shortly after.

I sat there and started shaking my legs back and forth. During the silence, we looked at each other a few times and gave an stiff smille when we made eye contact.
