I opened the door to my house. 

I was drenched from head to toe. My hair was untidy and wet as hell. Water was still dripping from my body as I made my way to the bathroom.

I felt cold and dirty from the heavy rain.

I was in a complete mess.

I flick the switch to fill the bathtub with hot water. I then took off my drenched clothing and placed them in a nearby basket. 

I submerged my body into the tub of hot water. It instantly relieved my cold body.

The hot water was effective in relieving my physical pain but not the emotional pain that I had.
