Part 2
Daughter of Darkness, Son of Light‘I-I can’t do it, Father!’
‘I can’t believe you’re this pathetic.’
For the fifth time, Rosé felt a hard rock hit her back. She bit her lip as she beared the pain. No matter how many times she tried to call upon her powers, she failed miserably resulting to punishments from her Father.
‘This is your twelfth try and you are still not able to do it. I am ashamed to call you my daughter. You are sleeping outside again you weakling’ he hissed in disgust.
‘But Father, I’ve been sleeping outside for the past few days. It’s cold outside’
‘If you’re cold then why don’t you call on your powers? You’ll be much warmer’ Gremor says as he disappeared into the shadows leaving the girl on her own in the middle of the dark foggy forest.
She looked around to make sure he left and after she made sure he was not around anymore she placed her thumb and index finger on and started to whistle loudly as it echoed throughout the forest. [I think that’s how people do it, but idk, i can't whistle]
After a few moments of silence, Rosé heard galloping from behind her. She looked back and a smile appeared on her lips.
‘Fawn!’
A beautiful and elegant deer was standing in front her looking so tall and superior which made her look tiny. Its tree-like horns silhouetted through the moonlight and Rosé was stunned once again by its naturalistic beauty.
Fawn stepped towards the girl and lowered its head to the same level as the girl. Rosé softly patted its muzzle while saying
‘I missed you, Fawn. Shall we go now?’
When her father punished her to sleep outside, Fawn would sleep beside her giving her the warmth she needed. She was the only friend that Rose has in this dark and lonely forest. Of course, Rosé tried to escape this place but it would have no end. She believes it is the spell that the Father cast upon the forest so Rosé won’t escape the place.
Gremor Park, the mage of the darkness, shadows, and nightmares. He has no mercy and he believes Roseanne must be the same: evil and merciless.
